Good day guv'nah!

So I decided to try Galaxy again.
It's been migrating data for more than 40 minuts.
Should I kill the process?

If you mean it's importing your games mine took many hours. It's like reinstalling everything and anything not 100% up to date will be redownloaded.

I see, I wasn't aware. I thought it might have simply been synchronizing account data. Which shouldn't really take more than a few seconds. But if it really is re-downloading and re-installed the "already" installed games then...

Seems like a terribly annoying design decision. Wouldn't it be much better if Galaxy simply showed a red flag next to the game's entry, and let the user manually update the games?

But that'd be the smart thing.

Edit: Actually, no it can't be doing that. It hasn't asked me for a password yet.

Once it's installed you can choose whether to auto update games. What you have looks like a glitch, I'd kill it and try again.

BTW: I haven't used it for some time, didn't really see any advantage.

Yep, that is certainly nothing to do with updating the games. That is the client update. Seems like it is stuck somewhere. I'd kill the process and give it a new try.

I just ninja'd a professional ninja, I'm so proud. :-)

Yep, you were both right. Once I restarted the process, the client looked the way it should... and began automatically updating some of the games.
And I can only feel relief at the fact that I uninstalled Witcher 2 beforehand.

As for the advantages. Neither do I, just wanted to try it out.

Ah, this is fun. Always nice when, rather than growing to love a game, I can go in the opposite direction and slowly learn to hate something I used to enjoy instead. =)

I've done that quite a few times, I don't have your dedication though, I just un-install and move on. :-)

I thought about doing that, but I want this one to be dead. Very, very dead.
And there's no better way to get that feeling than to fully complete it, with all its endless busywork padding backtracking fucking bullshit. -laughs-

Yeah, some of mine seem to be mocking me but I can take it! :-)
Heat indexes 100-105 this week, sounds like your weather moved east. :/

Hide them if they're GOG, permanently delete if they're on Steam.

Maybe not so much moving fully as expanding. It's still hot as hell here also.
Good evening Fred, I see you're having a quiet day too. Been watching videos and catching up on the news.
The videos are way better. <sigh>
*hugs, waves, happy videos*
