EndreWhiteMane: Afternoon/evening all. Not sure which is worse, watching the news and being depressed or sticking my head in the sand and feeling guilty. What a world.
*hugs and waves, peace and love*
Hey Endre :)
Yep the world is going crazy but to be honest i'm not really surprised about the coup attempt - was to be expected at some point i guess...

Not surprising no, very poor timing though.

Never a good timing for such things.

Definitely - but i don't think they cared about that. They just waited for Erdogan to be out country (which he apparently is) to proceed.

Every time I try to post it has quite a bit more venom in it than intended, better I just be quiet and see what happens. ;)

Just let it out...might be better than holding it back :)

Nah, this is too nice a thread to let my rather 'unusual' worldviews create problems.
Hippies who can occasionally act like hawks are an odd breed. :-)
So, howse 'bout thoz gamz? ;)

I grabbed DA right away, I have the base game on CD but never got it to run quite right. This works great so far, now I can play. :-)
Maybe I'll get the other two one day.

That's good to hear - currently downloading it too which is interesting as my internet chose snail speed for the download :/
Well SimCity 3000 is a pretty neat game - played it a lot back in the day :)

*steals conversation, then gives a big sorry hug for doing so and hoping you don't mind*

I was just wondering how many CDs it was on, as the game card says the file size is over 22 GB?

No problem. :-) I always say CD when it's one of those round thingies with the hole in the middle. O_O
It's on one DVD.

I have 2000 and 4, that should cover me as I really don't have as much patience for it as I should. ;)

Now you are just being silly, those things with holes in the middle are called records (the vinyl kind). :-)

I do that sometimes, say CD when I mean DVD. Thank you for the answer to my nosey question. :-)

*big thank you hug*

Well in that case i don't think you need 3000 although it had some nice interaction with neighbouring cities but other than that it's more or less a nicer looking 2000. Never really played that much of 4 though (mostly because it ran like shit on my PC back then) :)

There is always hope, it rests in the hearts of the People,
and is carried by action when the necessity arises...
avatar
Empress_Owl: Yes... you may be right... but people change, too... there are those who keep faith and hope, and still care and want to help each other... and there are the others, who become scared, and angry, and racist, etc... :-\
**big hug bck**
How are you doing ?
These are trying, and historical times indeed, on many levels. It may be a fool's errand, but I'll keep
my faith in People, and carry hope in my heart and continue to be active politically working towards
a better world for those too young to carry the fight for their generation and those that follow. :)

I am well and happy, keeping on track weaving words onto pages and into my series of books...
Although my budget is a bit squeezed and game plays are few and far between. heh!

ddickinson: I figure I will let it live on my wishlist for a while perhaps, partly as I still have so many RPGs to still play, but also due to my non-buying/gifting ban. But one day I might get it if I can get some more RPGs played.
Aye! My backlog has been added too rather than diminished lately as well, so I'm waiting to see what comes
up next week before getting DA Origins.

Going to have to download that Van Helsing complete at some point this year too... never could get any of the
individual games to play. heh!

Some of these new releases this year were just too good to pass up, like the Homeworld 1 and 2, which I couldn't
resist. :)
