ElTerprise: Good call - wish i still had a Windows 7 system in addition....

Well you cannot really avoid the telemetry anyway but all the other stuff is not necessary - not to mention the superfluous Cortana....

Thanks and thanks - that would be good but it doesn't look too promising....
Well, the installation is complete. That leaves tomorrow for gutting windows and its mess of stupid standard programs and settings as good as I can ;)

Having a buddy who studies IT will be coming in useful once again...

... and then I'll have to dig up my list of fixes and see if I can get some games installed again.

*yawn* I'll be calling it a day I think... I hope you will get to enjoy a good unperturbed night :)

Sleep well! I hope I see you here tomorrow!

Good luck with that ;)
And be prepared that the next big update will reset all that stuff because why the hell not ;)

Have a good night and sleep well :)
I just finished the Witchblade TV movie/pilot thingy and...it wasn't that bad. There were a handful of cheesy moments in some of the fights, and I didn't particularly like Yancy Butler as Sara (off the top of my head, Eliza Dushku would've been a better fit), but it was an enjoyable watch overall.
Another quiet night with hours to fill. Fun stuff.
Guess it's time to dig around in the pile some more.

Yep.

Anything in particular? Something not terrible? :P

Ian in Fallout is useless against Super Mutants, time for him to leave the party I guess. I managed to join the Brotherhood, so that's neat, and I'm at level 8 I think, the only thing giving me a headache now is the aforementioned Super Mutants. It's a fun ride so far...

Hey there. =)

Thinking some Arkham City in a bit. Mix that with some Lands of Lore, Rebel Galaxy, Paper Sorcerer, not sure what else.

-laughs- I remember them. Once I got away from fighting bandits, he turned to crap for me too.

Glad to hear you're liking it so much. =)

How's your night going?

Arkham City is a blast, that'd be my recommendation :P

I'm spending my night in the wastes of Fallout, sooo not bad at all ;) I'm apparently closing in on the end, there are a few places I haven't been but I'm honestly not too worried about it, gotta leave something for the next playthrough, right?

I'll probably drive around in Saints Row or Sleeping Dogs while listening to the Marissa Nadler albums I picked up the other night, then off to sleep.

How have you been? Roommates haven't been blasting music or nearly burning the house down have they?

I kinda have to play that one through now. Spent an hour screaming at it while I beat all the AR challenges in a row. (Dear gods, I hate those...) I'm committed to the run.

-laughs- That's a good way of looking at it. I usually try to see everything each time, makes the games take a lot longer to beat.

That works. Have beaten Saints Row 3, 4 and Sleeping Dogs, spent a lot of time running around.
Also, thinking about those makes me want Agents of Mayhem to get here soon. I really want to see what the Saints Row team has been coming up with for so long.

Nah, it's been pretty quiet around here. Roommates aren't bad. I put up with their shit, they put up with mine, it all works out. ;)
Sleeping dogs was pretty good, even though, driving sucked almost as much as in vanilla saints rows.
*opens the Fred quietly, sees no-one around - sets up coffee and scones and cakes on the breakfast table and goes to lurking mode until someone arrives*
Good morning/afternoon, everyone. =)

Hope you're all doing at least fairly well today.

Morning Crow! I hope you had a good night ;)

I've been up and armwrestling with the new win 10 install all morning. Still trying to find a way to neuter the forcibly automatic updates ...

I'm doing well. Skipped breakfast and had a cup of tea instead, I never feel like eating in the morning. The devotedly protestant neighbours are playing and singing their church songs next door so I'm blasting Yugoslavian Communist music back in retaliation :D

Can't complain here. Nothing too exciting.

Good luck with that. Windows 10 has all kinds of lovely crap to disable...

-shakes head- How rude of them. They could be more considerate and keep the crap to themselves.
*tips helmet* Good mornoon, everyone. Please choose the greeting(s) that apply to you.

a) HAPPY BASTILLE DAY \o/

c) *chocolates*

I am easily revolted by religion as a thing, but the religious people themselves aren't the least problem to me if they don't bother anyone with it in my opinion. Unfortunately that last thing often goes a bit haywire.

Well, apparently setting your networks to metered is the only way to prevent auto updates. I hate the gratuitous amounts of crap that IT companies (and others like advertisers) force feed you these days.

Nasty topics asides, I decided to do a little wolfenstein marathon. I'm nearly done replaying the first and only noteworthy ghost recon + expansions, and Return to ... and Wolfenstein 2009 will both run under wine. So that'll be good.

And if I haven't shot enough demonised german people then I might actually wip out my first-and-only COD disks.
