It is probably a bit of both. They have so many similarities, even down to the phase or remakes and sequels, and the lack of quality control. :-)

ElTerprise: Snail mail sounds awfully slow and might also have trouble reaching the British Isles, not to mention Northern America :)

True, but I guess GOG being a small site and in Poland (whose head office is in Cyprus, which many US banks won't deal with), this might have put off some of the larger publishers. But I wouldn't really know, I am just guessing.
