CarrionCrow: Yeah, they weren't bad.

Hmm. Interesting. Hadn't heard about the historical bits. That's pretty funny to have added in to a title like that.
Well I might have made that sound more educational than it probably is. Keep in mind I have not played it or really know anything about it, that was just what I had heard from a few people. Chances are there is nothing there of any value.

ddickinson: That is true. I told him the other week to go and visit Owl, but it took him days before he would listen. :-)

So that is the value of your honour? You will betray us for Mad Max and Shadow of Mordor? *shakes head*

Are you enjoying both of the games? Did you get Mordor due to Crow, or did you have it/want it already?

*big silly hug*
Yep the sun appears to be very independent.

Well these are the game i've downloaded yet which i got from the sale ...but i think adding Elite Dangerous to the mix :)

Yes. Both of them. I started playing Shadow of Mordor (was a coincidence that Crow got it too) and i really like that. Imho one of the best implementations of the Batman-Arkham-style combat. Although it also has the notorious towers :)

I think I would prefer the Mordor setting over the Batman setting. Have you picked up many games from the Steam sale?

Empress_Owl: Hehe... Sword of the stars. I got it decades ago during the pinata event... still not released. Appears in big on front page :-D ...... still not available. :-| . With different prices and so many DLC and stuff.... well, f*ck you too.
That release has been a mess ever since they started adding things onto it.
Maybe now it won't be so complicated to install. (Once they put it up for download, attach the right sale prices, little things like that...)

I'll check it out eventually and let you know. Will probably play it bit by bit in between the bigger games.

I'm not surprised :)
Not sure how accurate they treat the lore though...

Not at all. I merely got the missing DLC for the Endless games and SoM and Mad Max so far...might get Fable Anniversary but i'm not sure about that.

Well it's now Galaxy-compatible...and i can already download it :)
But i needed an account refresh. Interestingly enough i had the new Gold Edition in my account before they posted the news...

I hope you enjoy it at least, even if it is just as a distraction from other games.

Probably more accurate than the Peter Jackson movies were. :-)

I have heard good things about most of them, although I seem to recall mixed things about Fable.
Just a sleepy hello before I head out back to bask a bit with the monster. I hope you all have a great day and a lovely weekend!

I really need to give Shadow of Mordor an earnest go... I still need to beat Batman Arkham City too. So many games!

Oh, and check out that brand new release. "Sword of the Stars - The Pit." I like the sound of it. I'm sure it'll make a nice new home here on GOG without any huge stink over trainwrecks of the past or any such thing. ;) (I'm actually relieved they're finally going to make an actually-gold edition of the game. I gave up picking up the dlc's as it was just a headache figuring out what order to install them in. I guess if I put more time into the actual game, maybe I'd care more. Looks potentially quite fun.)

The refresh is what I forgot. Thank you for reminding me, it's showing up properly. At first it was showing as owned while saying I didn't own the base game at the same time.

Possibly. The look of the game seems to be inspired by the movies though.

Well it's a Peter Molyneux game ;)
Yep they are interesting and would probably fit here on GOG but the devs apparently disagree on that ...

You're welcome. Apparently a lot of people had that problem.

Good morning. =)

Playing Arkham Asylum and Shadow of Mordor at the same time, with Arkham City to come. (With all its shitty, shitty AR gliding challenges...)

-laughs- Yeah, I sure do hope the release isn't a total pain in the ass to install completely, leading me to wonder who was sniffing glue when they made their design choices. ;)

Even still, it would be hard pressed to ruin the source as much as Jackson did. :-)

Ah, I think I know who he is. Hopefully the game is still good then, despite the developers. Given that we have next to no AAA games here (1 maybe, 2 if we include the Witcher 3?), I think it is a good bet to say we won't be seeing the games here anytime soon.
Alright..i'm off to university again. See you all later *hugs and waves* :)

Well it's difficult to translate media into another form of media without changing anything but yes the amount of changes were unnecessary....

Yep and he's quite a reputation for promising stuff without delivering in the end....
Probably not...
my leg hurts :(
Good morning Crow, EIT, DDick and everyone. :)

I am running a tournament program tonight for 16 teens, and I am so freaking anxious about it. Which sucks since I'll be nauseous and worrying about it all day long. :/
Please can you give Owl a big +1 for being a big yellow meanie? :-)

Come now, Jackson did not even try with the Hobbit. :-)

Have a lovely day at University. Take care! *big hug*

Good morning!

How are you today, other than feeling anxious? I am sure the tournament will go great, and that the kids and you will have a lot of fun. I will keep some fingers crossed for you that it will all go as well as you have hoped for.
