Things are good and non-dramatic as the world is turning for me.

And finally installed Shadowrun Hong Kong, playing it a bit too.

Looks awesome and like everything I'd want in a game... but far too dated :( I just asked in the release thread if there are any slightly more modern ones (I saw someone mention this game in the Unofficial thread and didn't look it up at the time because I hadn't ever heard of it).

I've said it before and I'll say it again - I'm a terrible Good Old Gamer because there's some stuff that I'd just find too ugly to play.

I can't believe how much time I spent in Daggerfall back then ;)

Huh... "unique blend of space sim, first-person shooter, strategy, and role-playing." Never heard of anything like that ô__ô I probably wouldn't be able to understand it though. I think I permanently broke my attention span by buying too many games in the last 5 years, and attempting to constantly play 14 at once :-p

I was just talking about that earlier - I have trouble getting into the really old games. Except for adventure games, pretty much anything pre-1998 is impossible for me to play. Either because it looks to ugly, or the controls are too clunky, or both. It's sad... but luckily I have plenty of new sh*t to take the old sh*t's place :-p

LOL I do this all the time - usually I'm logged in and pop in and out and then sometimes I'll walk away to do something, get caught up and by the time I pop back in it's three hours later.

Yup, which usually isn't an issue for me because like you said, there's a ton of good stuff still coming out. There IS some old stuff I can play as well but some of it just crosses that threshold into "Nope, can't do it" - which is a shame when it comes to a game like this one which seems so unique and exactly like the kind of thing I'd love.

But if playing it for two minutes is going to make my eyes bleed I just have to pass :(

Well it's one of these interesting Russian games that mix totally different genres into one game...like Space Rangers :)

And yes, i saw the new release... I watched the trailer, and I still can't know if I'm interested or not... looks kinda cool... but I am used to either construction/farming, either strategy/war games... i'm a bit puzzled. You ?
