Wow there is a lot of crap on Steam. Is there a filter to exclude all the crap? :-)

omega64: Yeah they did away with the flash deals last sale.
They gave you a reason to come back.
Sales are static the entire sale now.

Fine, just slept terribly.

You doing alright?
Was there a reason for it, or did Steam just figure they don't really need to make an effort given the size of their user base?

Sorry to hear you had a bad night. But at least is i Friday today, so you have the weekend to look forward to soon.

I am doing okay, I did not really sleep and I have a lot playing on mind at the moment, but other than that I am okay.

omega64: Context please, how big is your wishlist? :P
avatar
CarrionCrow: It's at 28 titles right now.
Ah that's fair.
avatar
CarrionCrow: Everything on my list is on sale, just don't have the money to grab the more expensive bits.

Yes, the Steam sales did have flash items, things like that. They stopped doing those a while back.
So a whole list of games on sale. I hope you have filled your list with good games and no more terrible ones you will be forced to play? Especially as you are setting a bad example to Agent, who recently forced himself to play Knock Knock to the end despite hating it. :-)

That seems a little boring. But I guess if you don't care for all that you can just get everything on day 1 and be done with the sale.
avatar
ddickinson: It would be a silly marketing plot of them though, or do they think the games are so terrible no one would be silly enough to even want them in their collection, even if they are paid to do so. :-)

Have you found any nice games for yourself on the Steam sale so far?
Well i wouldn't be sure about that :)

Not yet - not sure if i actually rent something in the sale....

No given reason, probably the Steam Refund Policy.
Flash deals offer a lower price than the game normally has during the sale.
People could just refund the higher price and buy it again now.
The sad thing is discounts are still at that higher price, the result is deals just got worse for the buyers.

True. :)

Hope your mind sorts itself out soon, not sure what's going on but good luck.

Are there any games that you are definitely keep an eye on in the sale, even if you won't get it?

Ah, the usual sulking because you were not at the right place at the right time. I think I have seen people on the forum ask if they can get refunds due to them paying more and then a sale starting. It sucks when that happens, but that is how it goes.

Thank you. I mentioned some of it yesterday on the thread, but I won't bother people by keep going on about some things. You have better things to do than listen to me complain, like planning fun things for you weekend, or playing some games perhaps. :-)

And now our Prime Minister has resigned. Fun times. :-(

Thank you, I will be sure to try my best. :-)

Yes, David Cameron. He will stay on for a few months but then is stepping down.

Well i'm currently looking at the possibility that the ProhibitRunInCountries-tag apparently expires after 90 days for some people which might open the chance to play the recent Wolfensteins after all but otherwise i'm just looking around...cannot really say anything more as of now :)

Oh well that was to expected, right?
It's weird how the mind works sometimes.

I started thinking of the brexit and how it came to be on the wings populist rethroric and patriotism. Sentiments I despise.
Then I though of the movie that made very clear to me the folly of patriotism.
Then I thought how you could a college level philosophy course on that movie alone.
Then I thought that you could probably do the same thing with Watchmen the comic not the movie.
Then I thought about what Alan Moore calls with a completely straight face and in all seriousness magic. And how he's entirely justified in calling it that.

Weird.

That would be nice if you get to play some of the indexed games.

Well, kind of, but they were hoping he would stay on until the next election, even most of those on the leave side had asked him to stay and said they were fine with him being in charge through all the negotiations. I just hope we don't get some idiot in charge who will just ruin any chance of us and the EU making a nice deal that would save a lot of hardship for us all.

Looks like he didn't see it coming. He's looking at his speech notes way too much for a guy who expected to be on the losing side and then resign.

I don't think many people did, up until the night the money was on us staying. It could also be that he is just emotional about it all, so he needed the notes to keep him focused. His voice did break during his speech, so I think he is upset about the results. I think many will be given it was a very close thing. I think there is a lot of mess ahead more likely, especially if the EU decides to react badly to it all. Which I guess is to be expected, but it will only cause more problems for them and us. So my hopes are still on people just embracing this, being adults, and trying to learn from it.

Well those are more like banned games in some cases :)

I read that too and imho it would've made sense to stay - arranging early election would've been an alternative too.

The Wolfenstein games are still banned in the fatherland?
Seriously, I think the law is at this point more embarrasing to Germans than anything else.
Considering that he engineered the whole affair to distract people from the mess he had in his own house. And has suceeded by making a much bigger mess... I'd say pretty much.
