ElTerprise: The thing is that the game is based on the first five volumes of the XIII bande dessinée (i think) which consists of 20 volumes - which makes it obvious that Ubisoft planned a series and the first one just didn't really sell well. But yes why not getting for console - despite the ending it's a pretty good game.
I didn't know that either. I guess it did not sell enough for them to make the other titles.

And sorry to hear the new game is banned in Germany. Was it a game you wanted?

EndreWhiteMane: It's blocked for you????
avatar
ElTerprise: Yup. Wich was to be expected after the recent developments :(
I missed whatever those were, Germany is getting stricter about violence?

Nah, GOG blocked a giant list of stuff here.
Happened on Steam a while back.

omega64: 17.69
No discount.
I see it now. That is high for an 11 year old game.

I cannot remember the save system. What was unique about it?

Probably. Would at least explain why they didn't renew the licence...

Thanks - oh yes... i was waiting for that for some time as it's also blocked on Steam for years....and i while i finished it once, the version i played was and arrrgh!-version ;)

Nope. They just made some blacklisted games unavailable in Germany apparently because of some change of the blacklisting is handled by the BPjM. Just look at the GOGMix from IAmSinistar :/ (easiest way to find it via a Wolfenstein gamepage)
Also, there is no way in hell Activision owns the trademark to the word "Gun", it is far too generic a word, and coined a very long time ago. Isn't it Activision that claim to own the rights to the word "vampire" as well with their latest Vampire game here?

What do you think of the €17.69 price for an 11 year old game?

Saving just saves the start of the level.
So loading makes you return there.
Levels can be pretty lengthy.

Maybe in combination to video games. Wasn't that the same with Vampire - The Masquerade: Bloodlines where they tm'ed Vampire?

I think it's typical Activision....

I just updated that post to mention Vampires. But I don't think you can trademark such generic words that have been used for a very long time, long before Activision was around, or even computers. I wonder if it is just bully tactics by Activision who knows the legal systems these days favours the one with the most money over the one who is right?
Off to teach the kids how to dig in the dirt. Have a great day y'all. ;-)

Capcom puts trademarks behind Resident Evil which makes sense. Less so with the Japanese title Biohazard.

Or they found loopholes in the American trademark system? Who knows? As long no contests that? It's the same with Bethesda suing Mojang over the word "Scrolls"....

I thought this kind of thing sounded familiar... EA does the same thing.

Black :-)
