CarrionCrow: If he's willing to cook for it, he deserves it. ;)

That wouldn't work, unfortunately. Games you figure will be good can go sideways in a hurry.

You'll get there. Just a little longer and there won't be anything left for people to ninja you with. =)

ddickinson: He sure does. I hope he has lots of fun before he passes out of heat exhaustion. :-)

That is true, but there are some games you know are bad and can push to the bottom.

I know, but I kind of want to hide the list and just be done with it. But then people make me feel bad for hiding it. So now I just need to decide what to do. *epic first world problem* :-)

JunglePredator: Well yes but I'm not french.
Plus we actually have laws that protect children now unlike the french.
avatar
ddickinson: Do you not have a uniform code of law in Canada? I admit it has been a long time since my law days and my knowledge of global law was not that good to begin with, but now it is mostly forgotten.

avatar
ElTerprise: That's true :)

ddickinson: So I guess you won't be wearing a kilt for summer? :-)
No; Quebec potentially violates the Charter of Rights & Freedoms by using a option that gives a province the ability to veto just about any law handed out by the federal government. They've actually made it illegal to use English in Quebec. (An example is a pub owner was threatened with 30 days in jail if he failed to change his decades, I think actually a century, old sign to be primarily french from it's traditional English)
They also have custom laws on child protection (that's a new law linked to as about 3 days ago.... one which they rejected), health care, allowable political parties. It's also why you'll quite often see products shipped in from the states as not available in Quebec or it's a "Canadian" edition. In terms of games that usually means a dual language manual shrink wrapped to the box to be inline with their laws.

I have heard many bad things about Quebec, and their quest to be their own independent nation, and their many acts of violence and civil unrest over the years. It seems unfortunate that a province has such veto power over important things, and that the general government is helpless to stop it. .

ElTerprise: Meatspace?
So was i :)
You gotta play Shadowrun or Technobabylon. Meatspace is just the opposite of cyberspace - a.k.a. real life :-D

Let's hope that can be avoided. Hateful sunlight...

Or I can play a bunch of them at once, lose my mind that much more, then play something else. ;)

You're down to 5. You'll be done before you know it. =)

Additional: Question - which of those are you the most interested in?

Ya.... the teaching I got in school is the law was designed to allow a province to avoid something from the federal government that the residents of that portion of Canada found intolerable. (Like concentration camps I take it.) However Quebec started using it to basically out law parts of Canadian law; like officially I don't believe Quebec is required to provide English services to anyone from out side of Quebec; you get in court you could end up not being able to understand the judge etc.
This was all enacted before I was born.

True, but he does have his nurses. :-)

I guess that can also be fun. :-)

That is true. I guess I am just so close to being un-giftable that I am getting impatient. :-)

Is that a trick question, or just for general knowledge?

Well that is sad. I can maybe see the logic to some of the powers, but to give the ability to refuse so many vital laws seems very strange indeed.

Oh well.
Just remember... french girls are easy... just don't talk to them.

Well I am not quite sure that applies to all of them, but okay. :-)
Besides, I like talking to French ladies. Like the lovely Owl.

No, it's really not fun. Trust me on that one. But it does get garbage out of the way.

No, this one's just for general curiosity. No tricks up my sleeves. =)

JunglePredator: Wuss
If being in a happy relationship makes me a wuss then sure, I am fine with that. :-)

But think of how easy it would be to use the bathroom. :-)

-_-

Okay. But I will blame you for everything, so just be warned.

Well, I tend to put sequels to the bottom of the list if I have not played the first game. So because of that, and despite the fact they would be higher generally, I would have to put Shadowrun Hong Kong - Extended Edition Evoland 2 Deluxe Edition at the bottom. Followed by The Moment of Silence (which would be at the bottom if not for my rule about sequels of games that I have not played the first one of yet). Which would leave STASIS and Dex at the top.
