Yes, they made Thor a woman. Disney are changing the race/colour/gender of many of the old superheroes. I think Captain America is now black, Ms Marvel a Pakistan-American Muslim girl, the Hulk I think is now Korean-American. And there were others. It is the usual PC crap to pander to the idiotic PC masses. Why not make new superheroes and give these ethnicities their own identities, rather than just slap a new face on the already established ones? The new female Thor could have been a Norse Goddess, or a Valkyrie or something, a character in her own right, not just a simple gender swap.

Edit: I might be wrong with some of it, but I am pretty sure it is correct. I don't really follow Marvel and DC stuff, this is just things I have been told, and some I have seen the art for.

A norse godess or Valkyrie would've been pretty cool.
Now I remember all that stuff, yeah it's pretty weird.
It can work though, in the Marvel films Nick Fury is a black person instead of white and it works perfectly. :P

For me it is not an issue about the colour/race/etc. It is that they do it to pander to PC crap, to pretend they are representing minorities. Give them their own characters, put some effort into it rather than just switching colours or sexes. Not that it happens only in comics, overly PC crap seems to be everywhere these days.

That might be it, I don't really know how to feel about that kinda stuff. :l
