superstande: Afternoon... All right, why not :)
Thank you :)

It's a 'British IPA' with quite a good aftertaste, and overall slightly bitter. So yes, quite nice :)
Not that I'm bitter :P
Okay, so it should be evening. Stop being mean, I am ill, cut me some slack. :-)

So you are getting ever closer to your holiday, are you all getting exited and ready to have lots of fun?

CarrionCrow: Oh, I'm not playing it anymore. I'm not playing it ever again. I might not be able to turn it into a physical copy to rip to shreds, but I can sure as hell delete it forever, so I did.

A transcontinental sandstorm...that must have been insane. I think I'll stick with the garbage I have here. -laughs-
Ah, my mistake.

I do not think it was terribly bad, but I know it reached the South of England, so it must have been quite the powerful storm.
avatar
CarrionCrow: Hmm. Pretty sure I have that one. Will add it to the current mix of stuff, thank you. =)
Alright, you're welcome.
Yet you thank me now and curse me later :P

It's okay. =) Just glad I did that. So many better games to play, why keep throwing my time away.

Thinking of how annoying small sandstorms are here, and they usually die out within a few hours or less.
avatar
akhliber: Thanks so much! I'll say more later in the evening once this storm passes, as I'm convinced we'll lose power any minute now... usually all it takes is high winds, so for it to pour like this and still have power is a bit odd, haha. Thanks again and have a wonderful evening!

*Big hugs and waves all around*
You are very welcome. And take care with the storm, hopefully it won't cause any damage.

*big stay safe hug*

CarrionCrow: You might think that unhelpful, but it made me laugh. =)

Would normally agree with you regarding Vampire Bloodlines, but that's a tricky one.
It needs seven full runs for me to call it dead, so I want to get started. That's going to take a while.
Good, that is what I was going for. :-)
Although I have been a bit off this evening, I blame the blood loss at all the bloods take for my tests. :-)

But on the plus side the X-rays are looking good for my pneumonia and lung scarring, so that is good. And I am definitely starting to feel better, and not just in regards to the pneumonia but over all as well. I think the stay in hospital on the medication and things really has helped overall as they hoped. I think it helped give my immune system a much needed kick start back into working order.

I did not know that. But if you enjoy the game that makes the seven runs more enjoyable, so why not start with that for now. What ever you pick, I hope you have lots of fun with it. I am looking forward to the weekend when I play some more Fran Bow. It is a nice game to play at night in the dark with my partner. It is a nice horror game, with themes that might not be ground breaking, but are at least a little different.

Of course, sorry. Anyhow it's two hours earlier there compared to here, right?
And was thinking maybe it's a custom there or something to say afternoon at that time :)

My wife still has work till friday, getting up early every morning but she seems to be a bit more relaxed now, planning what to bring to her family living in Laos and what to bring back to Finland. So we'll be doing some shopping before going and that's going to be fun :)

For me, yes, it's good to have some time without work, eating seafood and maybe find a quiet relaxing beach somewhere :)

And I hope your illness will be gone soon.

Hmm. It hasn't seemed like you're off somehow. Just your usual pleasant conversation.

Very happy to hear that you're improving. =) Now your system can keep on getting itself in proper order.

The playthroughs are all different, each clan has its own pros and cons, it wouldn't feel right to clear the game with some but not all of them.

I hope you and your partner keep on enjoying the game. NoNewTale said they liked it overall when they played through it.

-laughs- I'll save the cursing for the game itself when it starts kicking my ass endlessly.

No need to be sorry, I was only being playful. I am not too sure to be honest, but given the distance I would think so. It is currently 21:35 here. No, we say evening, but my mind is all over the place these days due to everything so I tend to mix things up.

I hope you two will have the best of time while you are there, you have worked very hard before the holiday and you both deserve a nice rest. And Laos looks like a lovely place to relax and have some fun.

That is good to hear. I guess it is just in my mind. I have been quite active on here today and while it does not sound like a big deal, it does take it out of me so I feel like I have been a bit off slightly, maybe that is just in my head or only on chat. :-)

I am glad as well. Hopefully the kick start is just what I needed. I imagine still some way to go, but I am definitely starting to see some improvement, and once my immune system is back on track that should help so much with my overall health. So with any luck a few more months and I will be good as new, or at least as good as can be expected.

That does sound interesting. I still don't think I will be getting the game, not that it is a bad game, but I just don't know if I would enjoy it, and I have so many still to play, so I will skip the game for now at least.

As I said earlier, it is nice to see some things in the game, like the innocence of the 10 year old girl. Something so silly, but that adds to the game for me. I don't like it when kids speak and act like adults in games, it tends to ruin things a little. The undertones are there if people see them (fi that makes sense), but I guess they can be missed. There are parts that you don't quite get at first, but later you piece together. We are not too far into the game, so I can't be sure, but I already have a few ideas as to what is going on, and I look forward to finding out if they are correct. The game has a few faults, but nothing too bad.

Ah okay :)
Yeah so it's that 2 hours - we're heading for midnight here.
Yeah mind-all-over-the-place happens to pretty much everyone sometimes... No worries, in my opinion. Just hope you get to do all the things you need to get done. I'm reading there (up there -^) that you're getting better. This is awesome! :)

Sure, if you ever find yourself considering traveling to Asia - Laos is a good place to relax. It's where I learned to appreciate hammocks :)

I do seem to be getting better, thank you. It will most likely still take some time, and have a few set backs, but given how bad things were several months ago I have come a long way. It has been a year nearly since I was ill, so it is nice to finally be out of the woods and have things looking good.

I will be sure to keep that in mind. I think if I was to travel to Asia my first stop would be Japan, as I really enjoy some of the history of feudal Japan and her mythological background. But I know Asia is full of beautiful places, with such incredible history. I am not really one to rest, even on holiday, so I tend to do more active things than just relaxing for too long, even if it was a holiday. Norway is my next target for a holiday. We were supposed to go there for Christmas last year but I was quite badly then, so I could not go. Hopefully this year will be different and I can enjoy Christmas in a lovely cabin in the woods and enjoy the wonderful landscape of Norway.
Why won't somebody summon me?

I know talking can get draining after a while, and that's whether you're feeling well or not.

Yeah, it can't be easy to feel normal if your immune system is heavily damaged. Those two things don't go together.

It'll be around. If you change your mind, you can always buy it then.

I don't think that's silly. It sounds like proper characterization. Without that, you get knocked out of the story every time they say or do something that a child wouldn't do.

Yeah...

Sure, Japan has lots of awesomeness :)
My brother has tried to make me interested in Japan and I've tried to find time to read some of the classic old books... maybe some day. He studied the language and some literature and is possibly forever mad about that stuff :)
I would recommend Kyoto as a place there. Managed to visit it once - that was just insanely beautiful. They still have some of the really old architecture standing.

A cabin in Norway sounds just about perfect! :)

Alright thanks for a cool talk! ...my eyes can't keep open much longer.
Take care and good night... You too, Crow! :) And everyone!

oh, here's a nice chillout track if anyone is interested : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NYb_BsQRkrQ

I am also making the most of it, once I am better I will have a lot less time to just be silly on the forum, so I will miss interacting with the lovely people on here like I have been doing. One advantage of being ill I guess. :-)

It would be no loss for me really, I have never played it, so I won't miss it. But who knows, maybe in the future I will want to give it a try and see how good it is.

I think what threw me off the most with Fran Bow is the tones when compared to the art style. It feels and handles a little like a Blackwell engine game, but with better visuals. Some of the game could be smoother, but over all it handles very nicely.

That is actually one of the places I was considering. Or maybe some quite less known area, those are the places I tend to prefer as you see a more real view of the nation, not the sugar coated tourist face the more popular places show you. Plus you can see some things that are hardly seen, which is nice.

Goodnight. I hope you have a lovely sleep.
