Good evening, Wings :-)
How's your weekend going?

CarrionCrow: I'm sure I will. Have been looking at games, one that caught my eye is called Ghost 1.0.
It's only on the rental service for now, but I saw a comment from the developer saying they intend to provide it in other places once any bugs that pop up have been taken care of.

Also, I saw a message from a different developer saying that 999 is coming to Steam. I'm both anticipating and dreading that.

-laughs- That's okay. Couldn't take money from friends for a new computer. Not to mention I need to make sure the electrical here can handle a seriously powerful setup without breakers popping.
Wow... had a look at Ghost 1.0. I am very impressed! :)
The visual style is just awesome.
Thanks for the tip!

No idea what 999 is ... might hazard a guess it's a mad shoot'em up with dreadful difficulty level? :)

Uh... Yes, might be good to look into the electric setup :)
That would be just... slightly disappointing... starting the machine for the first time and just making it into the operation system screen before the whole neighbourhood goes dark :)

*a hug and a kiss on each cheek for empress owl* (or a snuggle with the leathery gasmask in my case)

I'm just done studying for today. I got my old homeworld 2 disc to run again and I installed a mod so I might as well indulge for a bit :)

I also took the liberty to shove 15 euro's at GOG. The prize consists of Fallen Enchantress, Star Wars rebelion (since the old big cardboard jewel box edition on my actual shelf broke down like 10 years ago), and System Shock 2. Which I didn't get for free at first because I was too lazy to figure the galaxy stuff out. :p

Gotta tribute every now and then to stay on good terms with the bear...

How are you all doing?

**big thank you hug back** :)
Going pretty well... a lot less stressful than expected.
But very busy anyway... we hadn't stopped since 7:30 am this morning... only taking a well deserved break now :)
We're gonna throw the little ones in bed, and enjoyed a nice meal, some wine, and doze off while watching some Game of Thrones...
What about your Saturday, Agent B ? :)
Hey Agent, Empress, Endre, Crow, super, Vnlr and the rest of ya's. I hope you're all having a lovely day! Sarge's vet visit went great, he's just about broke 60lbs now.

The lady's been watching Moonrise Kingdom, which is quite adorable. I've been watching it a bit half-assed while also playing a bit of Witcher 3. I'm loving the new expansion, but I've realized I *really* need to find a way to make some money. Unlocked "grandmaster" armorer, but upgrading everything is so damned expensive. I still haven't unlocked the "runeworker" or whatever from the first expansion, as I barely had enough gold to cover the cost haha. Not even sure why I care at all about upgrading my gear when I'm so close to being done with the game entirely. It's not like I couldn't finish in the gear I'm wearing, but it's a fun game world to be in, so even the "treasure hunts" which are basically fetch quests can be fun.

I'm so excited to finally own Pink Floyd's "The Piper At The Gates Of Dawn" on vinyl and am about to go enjoy it in the living room while the lady and pup nap.

*big hugs all around*

*edited to add Vnlr and super, who popped in while I was writing this hehe

EndreWhiteMane: Is that Super's entire stock of soup? He's going to be pissed. :-)

zeogold: Wait, you mean he sells it to us out of the can instead of making it from scratch?
WE'VE BEEN BAMBOOZLED!
No, no... I make it myself... well... when I say 'I' ... I mean my wife... :)
And when I say 'my wife' ... I mean she and, or, her friends make the soup.
But I can cook, really... I think.

Hihi... I prefer a kiss on the cheek than a snuggle with a gas mask, brr... sounds a bit sado-masochistic ;-P
Congrats for your hours of studying... hope it will pay :) and glad that you enjoyed the sale too... you'll have more time to play soon !...
**Big hugs and a kiss on your cheeks as well, coz' I'm French after all** :-)

Yes, it does look interesting. Will check it out when it hits GOG.

999 is the first part in a trilogy of games. A combination of visual novel and puzzles.

-laughing- Yeah, just a teeny tiny bit.

Yeah, that 75% discount on Fallen Enchantress... Not easy to resist.
Been playing the Sorcerer King which I love. And I've read some rumours that FE is better... Not sure about them, but kinda believe them :)

Making soup is easy...

You cut a lot of random vegetables you like into little pieces (no combination's ever wrong). You stew a cut onion in a big pot untill it has a brown glossy look, and then add the other cut vegetables in the order of hard to soft ones while stirring every now and then. Once's they've stewed togheter for five minutes, fill the pot iwth near-boiling prewarmed water untill the vegetables are just - just afloat in it. Keep it just below boiling point for another 10-15 minutes. Add seasoning as required (or a small overdose). Mix it, or leave it as hutsepot, the vegetables still whole in the soup.
add more seasoning and possibly pre-baked meat ballets

Test a few spoonfulls out yourself (chef's right), and add a tabasco overdose to douse the taste if it's too gruesome.

There, that's soup á la Vanlaer ;)

EDIT: if you forget the boullion you can add it afterwards, no big deal. Just mix it up good to ensure an even spread ;)

Hooo, that's good to hear :-) Hopefully the rest of the works will be just as unstressful. I hope you enjoy your relaxing evening :-)
It's been going well here, but remind me not to go for any more walks this summer ,'','',,','','',',':-| Good Gog, it's too hot. Otherwise, it's been quiet and pleasant.

I've mostly stuck with age of wonders as far as these games go, but I had played fallen enchantress over at a friend's and it was a fun game. And it's here or on steam (and stardock has some revolting copy protection)...

Rebelion is mostly youth sentiment, and my dad wanted system shock for himself because he saw a very praising review for the first in a gaming magazine in some past epoch.

So yes, I gave in... :p

Very well... *undoes gas mask, making sure nobody gets a good look at my face* -smack-smack-

The remaining courses to be examinated aren't all that hard or big, I'm just running out of battery juice for a bit right now. But I don't think anything will go awry ;)

*puts a good French piece on*

Once upon a time when visiting France we bought a music box that plays the toreador part ;)
