AgentBirdnest: Maniac Mansion/Day of the Tentacle (thanks to Owl), This War of Mine (thanks to Crow), and Dust (thanks to yourself :-))

Brothers looks like a nice game. I'm a bit surprised by the developer, who made Riddick, The Darkness, PAYDAY... Brothers looks like an interesting departure from their usual stuff :-)
Never played, never played, and loved. In fact I only own Dust out of those games. :-)

Was it the same developer for all those games? That is interesting, given how different Brothers is compared to their other games.

According to wikipedia, yes :-) In addition to Enclave and the new Syndicate FPS.
Well, PAYDAY is actually developed by Overkill, which is a subsidiary of Starbreeze.
[/ninja Starbreeze lesson] :-p

First I get ninja hookers that are not real hookers, now I get a ninja lesson with no ninjas in it. *sighs*

ddickinson: So what will you all be playing over the weekend? I know GOG sometimes does a separate thread for this, but I was just curious what the regulars of Fred would be playing, if anything, over the weekend?

Me and my partner are hoping to play a little Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons, which looks like a lovely little game.
I think it'll be continuing Resident Evil 4, starting Vampire Bloodlines, and I don't know what else.
Been in a weird mood about games lately.

I still have not played Resident Evil 4. I have it on the PS2 (or maybe the GameCube), but for some reason I have just not played it yet. Which is strange, as the PSOne Resident Evil games were some of my favourites on the consoles. And I don't own Bloodlines, but I know you really enjoy it, so hopefully a nice weekend of fun for you.

Here... Your ninja lesson and your ninja hooker :-)

It's all subject to change at a moment's notice. -laughs-

Really looking for a game I can seriously latch onto.
You know what I wish I could play right now? Cook Serve Delicious 2. That's my number one pick. But it's probably not going to be out for months and months.
Well I will be saying goodbye for the day (and providing my coughing does not get worse and stop me sleeping I will be gone for the weekend as well). I hope you all have a nice rest of the day, a great weekend, and hopefully you all find some more nice games in the sale over the weekend. Bye bye!

*big hug and silly waves*

But I wanted the sexy kind of hookers, not the knitting kind. :-)

Take care, lovely Mr Agent. I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

That does sounds like a problem, wanting to play a game that is not even out yet. Well I hope you find something fun to play, and I hope you have a lovely weekend, one that is not too hot for you. Have a nice weekend, lovely Mr Crow!

I'm sure I'll think of something.

Have a good weekend, D. Keep on feeling better. =)
Good moaning everyone.

Aaaand there's that game now.
Dare I cross the ultimate weeaboo threshold?

Hurm, I just noticed a pattern?
I was so busy boiling in my own vitriol at seeing the Far Cry games discounted a "measly" 50% that I failed to notice that when you untick a game from its bundle that's the default discount you get.
And so... all these 50% games that are popping up here and there? Part of a yet to appear bundle, confirmed, because I said so.

Good evening. =)

Might as well. Get the main game cheap, come back around and pay full price for the DLC, then feel dumb.

There are games with a default 60 percent off. Also, GOG won't do that because they'll end up with an assload of pissed off people when the games show up again with a bigger discount.

If you want to check out something fun, go look at the Baldur's Gate and Icewind EE bundle.

Just like some people don't pre-order. I don't do DLC's.
Usually.
So not much of a loss there.
(Now try to imagine what I think of microtransaction-locked content)
Hurm, ok, I'm looking at the D&D EE bundle and... it kinda proves my point?

In other news, I did my best sad frog impersonation to date yet when I got another of my tests' score results.
That feeling you get when you're 0.2 points away from a B.
Then you realize that a pass is still a pass.
