ddickinson: I am sure I will get there, this pneumonia is just a setback, plus now I have the trial medication which should help overall, so that is hopefully a plus.

Ewwww, you played them on console. How dare you. :-) (I have not idea if they would be better on console, nor do I really mind, just me being silly about all the console/pc hate out there that silly people have).

For some reason the Fallout 3 games did not really jump out at me, so I am not sure if I would get them if they come here. I am not sure why it was that put me off about them to be honest, but when I looked at them ages ago out of curiosity they just never really stood out to me.

The only thing I am worried about is that these old keys were ones I have away a long time ago and the person has just not redeemed them yet, but then I think if after all this time they have not then I guess they never will. Plus if I do mess up and gift a game twice I will replace one, but hopefully that won't happen.

*kicks the sales timer to go faster for Crow*
I know, it's terrible. But I didn't have a PC at the time, so I ran with what I had.
They were essentially the same, since I don't really do mod stuff.

Fallout 3 ended up annoying me so much that I ended up quitting before I beat it. I hit the level cap, got super bored and said to hell with it.
New Vegas is way, way better. It's got problems of its own, but it's better. It has superior environmental storytelling by far in spots, to the point of it actually being memorable to me.

I wouldn't really worry about it. If they've been sitting on the codes forever, odds are they weren't exactly worried about redeeming them.

-kicks it along with you- Hurry up, you slow bastard!

akhliber: Hi, Fred! I hope you're all having a lovely day! Been up a couple hours, just haven't been ready to acknowledge or accept that fact. ;) I suppose it's time to make coffee and get the day started.

I may break down and just start putting the new bookshelves together myself today, as I'm not the patient sort, and I'm feeling like having a project day.

I hope you are all doing well, or as well as you're able! :)

CarrionCrow: I've played Fallout 3 and New Vegas before, but on a console.

akhliber: I'm sure you've already heard this a million times, but so much of the real fun of Fallout 3 and NV are the mods available for the PC version. I'm not one to want to mod every game (or many games at all, really), but it's one of the things that really helps these games shine so much more.
Hey there. =)

Yeah, no surprise there. It's like with every other Bethesda game. -laughs-
Bad interfaces, spending at least half your time in "You thought this was an RPG? Oh, you silly silly person. It's actually a merchant simulator. Now drag this 15,000 pounds of crap around the game world until you sell it off, bitch." mode, bugginess ranging from annoying to hey, my game's broken.

CarrionCrow:
If you play FNV at least use some mods to fix it. xD

I had crashes every 30 minutes before modding it.

omega64: Fallout New Vegas is amazing, it's Obsidian!
Unlike Bethesda they know how to write interesting characters.

The world in Fallout 3 is pretty great to explore though.
You say that like I have even played Obsidian. :-)

EndreWhiteMane: I would love to have Simon 2, thanks!
*bear hug*
You are very welcome, please give me a few minutes.

You've never played anything by Obsidian? :(

Mornin'! I remember back when I hated the concept of "cheating" in a video game (especially things like console cheats.) But with pretty much any Bethesda game, one of the first things I do (if modding doesn't address the issue) is find a console cheat to allow me to carry more than the loot I'll pick up from the first two to three fights. I'll usually just set carry weight to something absurd so I can remove the merchant simulation and all the damn trips back and forth to towns. I usually can't even be bothered to sell my junk even when it gets out of hand, and play many rpg's without doing much of any buying/selling (unless skills have to be bought or some such of course). If I have instead the option to just grind out some ingredients and craft what a merchant sells, I'll just avoid the "gold" mechanic entirely.

So broken.

I wanna use the command console to fix stuff.

Consoles can be fun, my most favourite of games are on consoles. Granted they are old games on the older consoles, but consoles can be fun. Strangely enough I have not owned a console since the PS2 and GameCube, except for the Wii. I never quite got all the hostility with some console and pc gamers. Games are games, as long as you are having fun who cares what you play them on.

Is it bad that so many of these games are highly praised, but they seem to needs fan made mods to make them really enjoyable, surly the developers should be doing that, not fans?

That is what I though, I have been trying to check if I wasn't sure, but hopefully no big problems.

AgentBirdnest: *tips helmet* Happy Friday everyone \o/

iRevolt: But there's always another sale after this one. )) You could play some of your other stuff and return to next sale and get the Homeworld Collection, I think the collection isn't going anywhere. Just take you time to finish other stuff.
avatar
AgentBirdnest: And with any luck, it might even have a better discount in the next sale :-)
... but... are we sure that Homeworld won't go anywhere? GOG has a reputation of pulling games without warning >:-\
I have to agree, there is definitely a chance that games might get pulled. And yeah, about warning I had some nuances here as well. But there is also a chance that they'll announce is something happens and the game needs to go off store.

But for now I hope they signed this deal for a foreseeable future and the collection won't go anywhere. ))

I don't think so.

I tried to play TES: Oblivion on console, and it's likely the main reason why I'm so uninterested in the game now. Never did finish it, and I adore the Elder Scrolls games, but that experience. Just wasn't enjoyable.
Just a quick note before I go get something to eat.... Copper Dreams achieved the goal already - $700 over it and still 33 hours to go :)
And they have already mentioned gog - so ... it's just eight months now ^___^

*looks at the time accusingly*

***Sarge is ready for a morning walk... Perfect timing, hopefully we'll be back just in time for the new sale titles to appear. :)

I'll be back around shortly. Enjoy your day, folks!

Dear gods, you are so much more sensible about it than I am.
I fall into the "this is actually how the developers intended the game to be" trap.
Course, I end up screaming that the developers are fucking morons for making such bad choices...

Just... Just play FNV eventually. :P
