My class for tomorrow got cancelled, off to a great start. :-)
That's an interesting way to get things started. Why'd it get cancelled?

The agency sending the kids lost their summer programs director and need to hire another.
The Thursday class is still on (different agency) but it's supposed to be 95 and raining, we'll see.

That sucks. So much for a silky smooth start.
Also, I audibly groaned when you said 95 and raining. Kinda doubt that's gonna work, you'll be miserable and the kids will be cranky as hell.

Just have to hope the weather cooperates, the forecast here changes hourly. Welcome to the Midwest.

Sounds like a massive pain in the ass if you're trying to organize anything.
Dishonored can be a ton of fun when you're not doing the ol' "sneaky pacifist" play style. The telepathic AI just makes sneaking a pain sometimes... I know I've whined about that exact same thing before...but still :P

Shadowrun: Hong Kong is almost finished downloading, so I'm stuck on thinking about what character I wanna build. In Returns my character was a Elf Riflewoman, in Dragonfall she was a Human Mage. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that it'd still be pointless to make a Rigger, and the series (thus far) isn't exactly multi class friendly, maybe I should make a melee focused character?

Gaming aside, today has been a decent day, and my work hours are back to where they were previously, with the added bonus of having an easier shift, so that's cool.

How are you all doing?

Doing OK here, glad to hear life is treating you so much better than it was. :-)

Full combat is almost always more fun than stealth. Lots of games try, but fail to do it properly.

I'd say to avoid rigger for now, it might end up feeling a bit...redundant.
Not really a fan of straight melee, but you might be able to make it work.

Glad to hear things have stabilized at work. =)

Still waiting for the sale, in between sweating my ass off. Watching stuff on Netflix because it's easier than playing a game.

True enough. Plus come on...in a lot of ways Dishonored's combat is a direct descendant of Dark Messiah of Might & Magic, hard to overlook those roots :P

The summer sale? Is it that time already? Yikes...

Any Netflix recommendations? I'm on the fence on getting Netflix but am leaning towards getting it. Not that I REALLY need more stuff to watch, I still have those Gotham City Serials, WitchBlade and now Birds of Prey to watch.

Good point. And since the combat in Dark Messiah is enjoyable, nothing wrong with bringing that along for the ride.

Yep. 11 hours, 21 minutes or so til it hits.

Hmm. I'll list off some of the stuff on my personal to-watch list -

Sherlock
Luther
Twin Peaks
Buffy
Angel
Better Call Saul
Blacklist
Arrested Development
Archer
River
Black Books
Always Sunny in Philadelphia
Supernatural
Twilight Zone
X-Files
Mad Men
Full Metal Alchemist

CarrionCrow: Words...
Thanks for the suggestions! I've seen a few (I've watched Angel in its entirety at least twice and I've seen most of Buffy) and liked Archer better back when it was called Frisky Dingo but the list as a whole will be a good place to start :)

Not sure what (if any) Adult Swim stuff is on Netflix, but I think you'd like Lucy, Daughter of the Devil. It was a decent enough animated sitcom starring Lucy...the daughter of uh...the devil. It wasn't great, but it popped back up in my memory a while ago and I'm myself itching to rewatch it.

And speaking of phrases I never thought I'd say...I'm listening to Boy George's This Is What I Do solo album while playing a game of pool :P

ElTerprise: You're welcome. Sounds really good. Will you travel abroad?

Well that's half-true. The lectures end in the middle of July and will continue in the middle of October. Yep pretty hot here the last week but still better than the weather in Southern Germany....
Uh. sorry, fell asleep again...
Yeah, going to head somewhere in Asia for a bit... Trying to find a nice quiet beach :)

Ah okay, nice. You have at least a good period of holiday :)

*sends more cold sodas and super effective fans*

zeogold: You're quite welcome.
Mr e won't like that, or are you trying to make him jealous?

If you can't answer straight away because your mouth is full, I understand.

Yeah, Frisky Dingo is great, but it sucks that it'll probably never be finished properly.

The only Adult Swim thing I see on there presently is Boondocks. I've heard of Lucy, watched snippets of it. Will have to check out the Adult Swim site and see it all there.

Hmmm. You're having a much more interesting evening than I am. -laughs-

Also, I forgot one show - Black Mirror. Really like it a lot.
And Breaking Bad, if you haven't seen that one. Can't leave that out. Fantastic show.
