I have been liking that they release new games sometimes during sales as it can make the dull sales a little more enjoyable for long time customers. But you are right that maybe it should have overlapped with Connect, given the publicity it got them and possible new customers. But then again, maybe they wanted a few days of new customers buying games at full price before sales started?
Yes, that does help. The only games I got from the bundle tower were new ones. Already had everything else that I wanted.
It could've been useful, I think.
I don't really think a lot of people are buying a lot of stuff beyond the newest items right now. Budgets are limited, so unless it's something they want immediately, they'd probably wait until the sales to do any shopping. It makes much more sense financially.
It's like right now, I've got 13 items that are 7 dollars or less on my list. I could grab them all right now, wipe it all out, but it'd be silly to do so when I know there's a sale coming. Even if the items are only 25 percent off, I'm still saving 22.75 if I wait.
