JunglePredator: When in doubt do as Luke does....

Wedge them in his mouth sideways so he doesn't bit down & you can run for the door.
Or in my case, die until I'm finally able to kill the asshole with the big sword.

superstande: Found this Car Talk story just now, that said:

"From the "You kids get off my lawn!" sign series."

and there was this photo...

who do you think I thought of? :)

...also +1 for Owl for the badge! ;)

EndreWhiteMane: I would have no idea. (Cool pic, saved!) :-)
Glad you liked it :)

...just back from work now.
Might try to hang out for a bit.

Also - if anybody is into ambient/downtempo vibes in games; there's this thread that seems to be still in motion:
https://www.gog.com/forum/general/any_games_with_ingame_music_of_ambient_or_chillout_only/page1
Several very good suggestions there. I'm super grateful for the contributors...

Good moaning.
I'm feeling a bit like Tim Allen right now.

My cistern had a small leak, letting a small but constant trickle of water. So this morning I was determined to take a look and find the cause. Unfortunately I had no idea how to remove the top from a double button mechanism toilet cistern, and I stubbornly pulled at it until it came loose.

After a few youtube videos I found the proper way to remove the buttons and the top. As you can imagine by pulling at it, I had completely broken the discharge mechanism's lower bracings. The trickle was now a torrent.

So I shut the cistern's faucet and went on my merry business, then at the end of the day, went by Leroy Merlin (Our owl-lady will now what that is, ask her). Bought a "universal" mechanism and; ahoy, let's do some tool time.

Unlike Tim Allen however I suffered no crippling injuries and the job proved easy enough to do without the need of power tools. Best part, the tiny leak is fixed.

Hurm, maybe I'm more Richard Karn than Tim Allen right now?

Ok let's take a look at that gog connect thing.
I couldn't do it before.

*hugs and waves*

Hmm... I see there are some "exciting" news. Well, don't think getting a copy of Braid here on gog is worth all the hassle especially while being on very limited internet access. Think I'll pass and just have a laugh at all the panic in the news thread ;-)

-waves back-

Hey there, Moon lady. Good to see you, hope you're having fun. =)

Yes, once again it's panic time. Break out the umbrellas and all that.

CarrionCrow: .
Mornin' Gigglette.
Notes of interest:

1.) I managed to buy the correct game this time.
2.) GOG Connect works perfectly as advertised, just have to walk away and let it do its thing.

As you were.

Well, kudos for number one, and yeah I tried it too and it worked fine for me on number two. :)

Also, don't buy Breach and Clear: Deadline. Looks like shit, plays like shit.

I thought you'd promised you were going to treat yourself to some GOOD games this time?

I own the first one and it's not real thrilling either so the second is out for sure.
You getting any break from the weather? It's back to normal for a while here which a huge relief.

The second one is worse. You're not missing a thing.

No, it's not changing. If anything, it's getting hotter.
Glad to hear you're not scorching.

There are no guarantees.
Question is, will I continue it or dump it.

Actually, you could help me narrow the field a bit.
Go to gogwiki.com. Check under active users. There you can see my name and current collection.
When you have a moment, scroll through them and tell me what you think sounds appealing.

Okay who wants to play my tech support?

There's a screen in Firefox that I ALWAYS forget how to get to it. Lists a bunch of stuff and you can select from dropdown menus whether things like youtube fullscreen is allowed, whether a site is allowed to open Adobe etc.

I can NEVER remember how to get there and I KNOW I've asked at least once before LOL. It's NOT via the options menu and I think it involves something like :preferences or about: *something*

Also, what the heck should I play? And why can't I decide whether or not I want to load up one I've been holding onto for A LONG time (I feel like I'm "wasting it" LOL but I think I'm finally in the mood... yet still can't pull the trigger - what gives?!?!?!).
*EDIT*

Ooooh glad I saw this. I remember thinking they looked sort of interesting when they first showed up here. And the sale price was right - but I'm going to pass for sure - thanks for the warning!

That might be it but it looks a bit more obtuse this time around (though I think I'm using a newer version of Firefox now). Is there one similar but a bit more user friendly / less dense? That really feels like it was the one I was thinking of though - thanks!
