CarrionCrow: Hooray. Let's start the novelty countdown timer...-laughs-

That works. You can say it attacked you unprovoked. Then it takes the fall and gets tossed, so you can have a coffee maker that doesn't suck. =)
Maybe I should go to the police and lodge a complaint... to be sure >:-|

Good morning, Fredisians! Wappy Wednesday. I hope everyone is doing fantabular or better! Or else!! >:-|
Not really, feeling full of vitriol and Lovecraftian ichor at the thought of having to face the next test in a few hours.
I know I'm ranting at this point but do allow me to vent and say; that I haven't learned a single thing from this subject. Everything was either stuff I knew from everyday life and/or watching the news, or stuff that could be easily inferred from common sense.
Just presented in an extremely abstruse, convoluted and, well basically, academic way.
I feel like I actually know less now.

Aaand with that I'll shut up and take my leave. I'm going to try and revise a bit more in the few hours I still have left. I really need to do so too.

Wish me luck.

AgentBirdnest: Wooo \o/ *gets the champagne* :-)
Congrats to colleague and family!! :-)
Haha :-D That should be enough, since I'm alone... ^^
Good morning Agent B ! :-)

That could work. Make it a thorough frame job. Shame the coffee maker's relatives so they have to move somewhere far, far away...

CarrionCrow: I can honestly say I'm doing better than I was a few minutes ago.
Just had a very nice pulled pork sandwich, shut off that obnoxious fucking endless runner, and the last of my comic books, which I got a crazy good discount on, has finished downloading.
I'm even trying to have a bleary-eyed epiphany regarding games, backlog, having a hobby rather than paying money to torture myself. It's kinda neat.

How are you today?
Sounds like a nice way to start/end/live the day :-)
So, does this mean you are actually considering playing good stuff? *prepares an applause* ;-p I can vouch for gaming being a good hobby. I've been enjoying it for a number of years now. It generally doesn't let me down :-)

I'm doing pretty well. A bit sore from pushing myself too hard up a hill yesterday, but that's my own Gogdamn fault :-p Otherwise, just chilling and thinking about breakfast...

Only my boss keeps using it, and that sneaky machine never exploded on her face... so she says she doesn't see what we reproach to it, that it works perfectly... >:-|

Hm, I hate that feeling. Feeling like you are learning nothing, but have to be confused anyway. Klonopin fixed that, but I wouldn't recommend it at all. It just made me not care about anything anymore :-p
In any case, good luck. Hopefully the testing goes well, and you get some relaxing gaming when it's all over ;-)

I've had worse evenings. -laughs-

Giving thought to it. I don't mind difficulty. That's not a dealbreaker, by any means. But there's something I've noticed, and it's the same for all the "hard for the sake of being hard" games I've played.
They aren't really engaging.
I'm not talking about fun or not fun, they don't even fully engage a person's mind or emotions while they play them.

That's not a bad thing. You're sore now, but if you keep doing it, that hill will eventually become nothing.

It's waiting for the right moment to strike. Perhaps when she's wearing an expensive light-colored dress for an important meeting.

True about those hard games. Games like that are more about programming your brain. It's a bit difficult to be programmed and have thoughts and feelings at the same time :-p Those games might make you go postal after a while. Repeating the same or similar levels over and over, with no meaning or purpose, other than "I'm supposed to." Until you finally snap and burn something to the ground >:-)

My problem is... I used to be able to get up that hill everyday with no problem, a few months ago. Now I'm quite out of shape, but still have the confidence to run up a rocky hill, which is an awful combination :-p

Try throwing the coffee machine at her.

Actually, it's the opposite. The game only engages part of the mind. The rest of it will still jabber away ceaselessly.

What's bugging me is, why spend 60 hours on something like that when I could spend the time on something that might be memorable for qualities other than doing the same level 1,500 times.

Okay. Maybe jog up the hill next time. When that doesn't phase you, run up it again.

Fine, rig it to explode for the next person to touch it.
You'll get a new one in no time. :P
