zeogold: Oh, Pitch Black? I thought that got discontinued.
It was, I think, but they're running a contest. Go online and pick either the lime or the grape. Not much of a contest, in my opinion.

I keep forgetting they even HAVE different flavors of Mountain Dew. The original one is usually all I see around where I live.

That's surprising. Even where I live, which isn't large by any means, there are several flavors available.

278 tries, just to hit the 50 percent mark. This is going to take a while...

Yep, the store I work at (a major regional chain, about like Foodco/Winco in Cali) sells Pitch Black, Code Red (though only in certain sizes now?), that lime one (Voltage or something?) plus the original, and the diet versions. I used to like Code Red a bit more than the original but haven't had it in a looong time.

Speaking of beverages, I recently started trying those "Alo" drinks...and they actually are really good. They're $2 for a cold/cool version but they seem to last a lot longer than a bottle of soda, probably because it "quenches your thirst" a lot quicker due to having a whole lot less sugar, so one swallow is the equivalent of three or four soda swallows.

Also, those Deep River kettle cooked chips are REALLY good, give 'em a try if you're a fan of chips.

I've seen the original, Code Red, Live Wire (orange), two versions of Pitch Black, Voltage, Typhoon, White Out and Baja Blast (the nasty Taco Bell-inspired lime one).

That makes sense. Soda works for thirst removal, but the tendency is to end up drinking a ton of it.

There's a kind of kettle chips out here called Tim's. The jalapeno flavored ones are ridiculously good.

Oh yeah, Baja Blast, not Voltage. Actually, I've yet to see a single bottle of Baja Blast at our store but we do sell Pitch Black, some version of Code Red (I think the 2 liter bottle and the cans) plus of course the original and the diets.

I'll have to try 'em when I get back to Cali (hopefully in a few months max). There is a company that is famous here called Blenheim, supposedly their ginger ale is some of the best available but I've yet to try it, despite loving ginger ale. It's not in any of the major chains, not even our southern regional chain, in fact I've only seen it in one store, a local farm store. For a six pack they wanted $10, which is...just a bit steep I think haha. I guess I'll have to try it before I head back.

ZenWan: Hi everyone, just jumping in to mention that you might perhaps add a few +'s for Crow and others in this thread, which seems to have been invaded by trolls...

<jumping out again>

<jumping back in to fix the link, I'm so bad at links> :-(

CarrionCrow: Hey there. =)

Don't worry about the linking thing. The forum doesn't make it easy.

Thank you for the thought and mention, it's much appreciated. =)
Hi Crow, you're most welcome. Sad to see that even in this thread, the trolls have invaded to downrep your posts. It's surely way past time for GOG to get rid of the rep system altogether, since it is clearly irretrievably broken.

Hope everyone is well, and those who weren't well are feeling better.

Hey there, Zen lady. =)

It's okay, no need to worry. Rep doesn't matter, the imbeciles who try to wield it as a weapon don't matter, and ultimately a great deal of the forum doesn't matter.
Hell, it doesn't even really matter that apparently no one from GOG cares.
I can't blame them. I wouldn't want to spend my time babysitting adults with the maturity of children with traumatic brain injuries either.

Hi Crow, good to see you. Hope your sodas are keeping you cool in that heat, while here it's shiver time as we head into winter.

You're right, of course. Sad that GOG seemingly doesn't care about the forums at all, nor the trolls and scammers who are all over the threads. I only found the forums when I was directed here by a GOG support person, after I asked for help on an issue, so they know they need the forums. It wouldn't kill them to fix some stuff around here.

Wait, what? They directed you to the forum instead of actually giving you the solution to your issue?
That...kinda sucks....

I've never heard of that brand either. Might have to try it at some point if I can find it.
And yeah, that's pretty pricey for a frigging six pack.

I have a huge bottle of it at the moment, so I'm set. ;)

Sheesh...I hadn't heard of support doing that before that I can think of off-hand.
