omega64: The PC version is the one I want. :P
I don't own any consoles except a Wii I never use.
Ah, you are right, the PC version does seem to be overvalued. That seems to be a trend these days.

CarrionCrow: Good morning/afternoon, everyone. =)

Hope you're all doing at least okay today.
Good morning, Mr Crow! *big wave with a big mug of coffee*

Empress_Owl: Hooooooo, pfffffffffff....... =_____= [/even more lazy] ... fine... **scroll up to read your answer to Agent**
Ha... sorry your results were not as good as expected... :-\ I hope your anemia will soon be fixed...
I'm fine, thanks !!
I didn't see there were new releases... The Witness looks very nice... but it's too expensive for the moment :-) **wishlisted**
What about you ?...
**Le big hug with le garlic back**
Thank you, but I will be okay, overall things are still improving, just a few things now and then that are not looking so good.

The Witness looks okay, but it also looks like an overhyped walking simulator with the kind of puzzles you see on a mobile app. But I am sure there is more to it, although there have been many games that were overhyped and gathered a cult following despite the game being a bit meh.

*big French hug*

Empress_Owl: You just made it up... there is not a single Ddic living in UK. >:-|
Plus you know my first name, so you know he is telling fibs. :-)

ddickinson: So how do you explain Vampire: the Masquerade - Bloodlines getting all the attention? That was originally released in 2004? :-)

That is good to hear, but why have you not shared those cookies? :-(

I am doing good, I spent the morning at work (yay!). My results yesterday were not the best, my immune system is... still not good, and I am sitll anemic despite the medication, but hopefully they will imporve soon and will be nothing to worry about. Other than that I am doing great, thank you. Maybe a little tired, but that is about it. :-)

*big how are you liking the new releases hug*
Well, Vampire looks much, much, much better than Barony, and has much much lower system requirements. So naturally it deserves more time on the front page :-)

I haven't shared them yet because they are not finished :-p The butter needs to soften a bit before I proceed further.

Glad you got to spend the morning working \o/ ... I hope your health improves though, of course *keeping some fingers crossed* We need our Battle Sisters in top-shape, in case we need to invade Fearful's class (or Endre's, if they are not nice to him :-))

The releases... I didn't notice them. I played a little bit of Braid, and didn't really get into it. It has been years though, so maybe I should give it another try. To be honest, I thought it was already on GOG ô__ô ... The Witness looks interesting, and I like how colourful it is. It looks like it could be a fun puzzle game, but that price is a bit of a turn off.
What do you think? (edit : I see you answered)
*curious hug*

Yes, let's keep crossing our fingers for everything to improve then !... >:-|
Fine... I love walking simulators :-) the last one I played was Layers of Fear. Very nice story and atmosphere... not much challenge. I guess I enjoyed it because of the story (even if I was disappointed/frustrated by the 'lack' of explanations at the end). I hope there is more than "the kind of puzzles you see on a mobile app" then, if there is no good story behind this one... anyway, it's not enough appealing for me to buy it at full price :-)
Ho... I know your real name, yes... I was curious to know what other names they could find for you... you spoiled all the fun, Dorothy ;-p mwahaha

Did you oogle it? I know three American Ddics. We can't be the only ones who use that name ):-|

Or perhaps it is GOG being bias towards games, which is mean. :-(

Use a bat on it, that will soften it up. Or FIRE! :-)

*big thank you hug*

Will you be getting The Witness once the price is lower?

*curiosity hug*

I do as well, I just meant that I have heard a lot of hype over the game. It just seemed overprices for a walking simulator with a few repetitive puzzles in it. But like I said, maybe there is much more to it. I have not really looked into it, just heard some things from a few people.

Did I? I am sowwy. I hope you won't be too mad, Lisa? :-)
By the way, Linda, who is Dorothy? o_O *big silly hug*

The puzzles are quite good if you can appreciate the format (drawing lines on a screen following specific rulesets)
There is barely a story, there is one but it's really hidden.

I should have guessed only Americans could wear such silly names... :-p
Yes, I oogled it ; it's an abbreviation which has many meanings, but not a name...

Well, Debbie, you shouldn't believe everything you hear ;-p
And I don't know who are those Linda and Lisa you're talking to, Danielle.

Perhaps... Maybe Activision would only release more games here if GOG agreed to give them excessive advertisement space? [/conspiracy :-O]
Hmm... I dunno. I don't trust the professional critic reviews (hipsters :-p), and user reviews are quite mixed. If it ends up around $10, I might give it a go.

It doesn't sound too bad... well, it can be a bit repetitive, in the long term.... as Dolores supposed.
Is it always the same kind of puzzles ?... it sounds a bit disappointing... :-|
Did you ever play it ?...
Thanks for those info, anyway :)

Yeah, we have silly names... There was a kid who went to my school whose last name was Shithead :-) (pronounced shi-theed ... but still, it was really spelled "Shithead" ! :-O)

Oh I played it, regretted ever buying it for that much money as it wasn't my cup of tea. :P
I can't deny that it's quite excellent though.

The puzzles start off fairly simple, but do get a LOT harder.
Every area has a specific type of puzzle.
Each puzzle follows specific rulesets that aren't explained.

There are sets of smaller introductory puzzles for each concept spread throughout the island.
There are puzzles that combine those rulesets.

They don't really get all THAT repetitive for some reason.

Maybe. But what about the priority given to incomplete and unreleased games? How do you explain early access and pre-orders getting so much attention? :-)

But don't you want to be a hippy? :-)

Empress_Owl: Good afternoon, Mr Crow !
How are you ?
Fine here :-)
Good afternoon, Owl lady. =)

Oh, can't complain too much here. About to grab some coffee to go with my soda. A dear friend of mine got me this really great cup, it's become my new favorite.

-breaks out the newly refurbished wading pool of coffee- My apologies, this took a bit to complete.
Now, not only do you have multiple coffee cup monster heads constantly spewing fountains of warm drink into the pool, I also set it up so they occasionally wink at you while smiling and playing from a lovely assortment of ambient horror game music...

If a person can't relax in that, I don't know what'll do the trick. ;)
