So I created a thread about sad and melancholic games and what did I end up playing all day? DOOM. The old one (with ZDoom).
Okay, not all day but every once in a while, while pausing the packing work. Managed to complete the first episode (on Ultra-Violence). Man, it's been ages since I played that. Forgot a lot of secrets - got 100% in only one level, mostly 50-80%.
And, um, the little one really loves the game (watching me play). She finds the monsters rather cute... When I remember how I nearly shit my pants when I played the game first in the 90's...

Plutonia has some of the best levels ever created. Especially the two secret levels are fucking insane! All the while it's at the same time extremely hard, but also totally fair. It's always your own fault when you die.

Good morning / evening, Crow. I have great faith in your ability to find something insanely difficult and really painful. <laughing>
Hope everyone is having a peaceful night's sleep, or a good sleepy morning.
Thinking sadly of the terrible fires in Canada, of the tragedy fof all those affected, people and wildlife, and of a beautiful environment destroyed. :-(

Dear gods, no. -laughs- I think I'll pass on those things, just for a bit.

A bit sleepy here, trying to concentrate on coffee and play some baldur's gate while getting up.
Yeah that's seriously bad stuff in Canada... Wish they could at least contain it somehow, figure out quickly something effective. Haven't really followed the very latest situation, though.
Anyhow, hope the Sunday finds you good!
