I don't think the RTS game was too hard, I know it has an easy setting, but I can't really remember. I do tend to prefer RTS to TBS it seems based on the games I own. I don't dislike TBS, but I guess I prefer the more hectic RTS type game for the most part. But I do enjoy some TBS games, especially as I can take my time planning things. FLT is a nice mix of the two, the pause button makes it a TBS game, although I am not sure it is classed as a strategy game.

Strawberry bread?

I tend to find the movies poorly written, poorly acted, and very overrated given the (sometimes fanatical) fanbase it has. But like I said, people like it, so it is great we have them here, they are just not for me. *goes to hide before the Star Wars nerds get me for saying I don't like Star Wars. Granted I have not really seen any other than the original three, and even then I am not sure I have seen them all.*

So we need to get you lovely lady a cage to keep you in for a few days after the procedure, or maybe a bed with some straps on it. Maybe the latter, then you can use it for other stuff as well. ;-)

*big silly hug*

FearfulSymmetry: Whew, it's pretty warm today. I'd planned to do some work on my thesis, but between the heat and my headache I think I'll just leave it for tomorrow.

How are you all doing? Looking forward to the weekend?

Hey, DD. Good to hear you're doing all right. :)

Not really, just more work on my thesis and lesson plans. But I did spent a few days visiting my grandmother, which was fun. How about you?
Ohayo!

Everybody and their neighbour busy playing Kathy Rain?

*sets a huge pizza on the stand counter*

it's double cheese, paprika, tomato and janopeno.
all I need for payment is that wiggly-thing that I don't know how to insert over the word 'jalopeno' :)

Mwahahaha, not yet, but I might be playing that tonight. :)

I'll politely pass on the pizza. :P How are you doing?

Hello there! I hope your headache improves and that you have a lovely day! I'd say leave the thesis for tomorrow, enjoy a bit of rest. I'm quite looking forward to the weekend myself, though not sure what I'll even be doing with it. Any plans?

Hello there!

It's quite gorgeous outside here as well. I have a feeling the pup and I will spend most of the day in the yard enjoying the wind. Well, I'll enjoy the wind, he'll enjoy the birds and lizards and sticks. :)

Yeah, I'll just leave things be for today. Other than doing some work on my studies I don't have anything planned. Except maybe browsing the internet for a new place to live. :P

So, you don't have any plans for the weekend either? How's Sarge doing?

Thank you. I hope your thesis work will go okay and leave you a little time to enjoy the nice weather. I am glad that you had a nice time visiting your grandmother. *big hug*

Nothing really planned for my weekend, probably just enjoying the weekend and the lovely Spring weather with my even more lovely partner.

How are you liking the weekend sale, see anything you like?

Nope, I don't own it. I probably will at some point, as I did like Richard and Alice, but I will probably get it another time.

I won't ask how you are, not because I want to be rude, but due to Fearful beating me to it and not wanting to make you repeat yourself. :-)

Thanks! Hopefully there should be some time to sit on the balcony Sunday. :) *huge hug*

It's kind of strangely empty in the house at the moment, since one of my housemates abruptly moved out this week after she got fed up with the landlord's behavior. We used to chat a lot so I'm still getting used to her not being here anymore.

That sounds like a pretty good weekend to me. :)

Not really, since I own half the promo already. :P I have a passing interest in the Telltale Minecraft game but not until the price drops down to five bucks or so. I quite like the Telltale way of making games but I have no real connection to Minecraft, so I'm going to wait until it's a lot cheaper. How about you? Do you have your eye on anything?

I may even have that RTS game on Steam from a Humble Bundle or some such. I think I recall picking it up from a bundle somewhere. Yep, another here who looks at the game shelf and asks, "wait, I own that?" haha. Maybe I'll give it a try sometime. If it has a "practically plays itself" difficulty option, I'll be most pleased. ;)

Oh wow... I don't think I'll have all I need today, but we need to stop by the grocer tomorrow anyway. Going to find some recipes online to be sure I've got what I need to make some of that this weekend.

I find the Star Wars movies (primarily the first three) incredibly endearing, but yeah, I kind of agree they're not exactly really well-written. I was a huge fan in my early youth, and am still quite endeared to the characters as a result, but given the fanfare they receive, I think it's pretty safe to say they're overrated.

An excellent point about the bed straps. I may ask to hire you at some point as my lady's personal advisor. She'll more likely convince my mother to come keep an eye on me and keep me from toying with stuff around the house. Knowing as much, I'm almost wondering if I'd prefer the cage. ;)

Sorry to hear about you being on your own more, and especially sorry about your landlord still being a jerk. Are you having any luck finding a new place, or is it still difficult? I know I am not always online that often sometimes, and it is not the same thing, but my chat is always there for you if you want to chat. You can even do it in Dutch. Granted I won't know what on Earth you are saying, but I can still politely nod in return. :-) *big comforting hug*

I am sure it will be, hopefully the weather will stay nice so we can spend some time outside, maybe do some gardening, or have a nice swim.

Nothing for me from the sale. I am not really a fan of Telltale, nor Star Wars, so most of the games are out. And out of the others I already own the ones that interest me, so I am safe to put that money towards getting some gifts for people while I still can.

Hello there! Once someone has paid you some wiggly-things and the peppers are complete, could you kindly remove them from a slice? I'd just do it myself, but with my luck, the wiggly-thing will be hiding under some cheese or something and I'll eat it by mistake. ;)

Haven't picked up Kathy Rain, but it looks interesting. I'm going to knock out a few adventure games before picking more up, but this will surely be one I keep my eye on.

Alright, it's still early, and a nice weather probably in Europe at least.

Doing good, thank you. Things are fine, with an occasional rain of tiredness but nothing to grumble about :)

How's it over there?

It is a nice little RTS game, and made good use of the Age of Empires 2 engine. The plot is probably more appealing to a Star Wars fan, but I like the gameplay, although the expansion adds units to the base game that kind o ruin things (the devs should have made the effort to block them in the base game, but I guess that was too much work?). There are a few games on Humble that I like the look of that are short games, with some that could be seen as one that virtually play themselves. I enjoy a nice indie game now and then, but often find they are overpriced for what they are, given their short span and their limited replayability.

Great, be sure to let us know how you get on. *big hug for the baker*

It is one of those things for me that it gets so much praise, but does not deserve it, so that kind of puts me off. Yes they are good for what they are, but they are nothing that special to me, but again, that is just me. Clearly others see so much in them, and that is really great.

Maybe a medical chair with straps, then she can wheel you outside on a good day with Sarge. :-)

I went to check out a studio this Wednesday but unfortunately I didn't get it. The housing corporation works based on a point system (you get a point for every month you're signed up) and I'm kind of on the edge of having just enough/not quite enough points. So I'll just keep trying. Another housemate is moving out in July and I really don't want to be stuck here after almost everyone else is gone. And thanks for the offer about chat. :)

That sounds really awesome. Can't even remember the last time I went swimming. I think I'd have to buy a new bathing suit first. :)

Hahaha, fair enough. The KOTOR games are really good though, if you like RPGs. I don't own them on GOG yet (I have the physical CDs) but even so I'd say they'd probably be my favourite games on this website. :P

*silly hug with a dance*

I'm having a pretty wonderful day, thanks! I'm hoping one day I can convince the lady to move. I'd love to live somewhere colder. I miss the snow something awful.

My only real plan is to do something with my mother and to take Sarge for a walk now that he's had just over a week to heal. He's doing pretty good, but he's been a bit grumpy since his surgery. He felt better very soon after and just wants to run and jump and play hard so bad it's making him stir crazy, but we've been finding ways to get the wiggles out. I'm thinking he's finally ready to get back to going on some walks, though we'll probably start really small.

Other than that, I'll probably laze around with the lady some, play some Stardew Valley (which I'm probably going to start here in just a bit) and maybe experiment with baking some strawberry bread (blame DD and Agent both for that.) :)
