ddickinson: So if we have to pretend FEAR 2 is not a FEAR game, what other FPS game would you compare it to?
Errrr... Call of Duty? :-) Maybe not quite that far from FEAR, but there is a bit of truth to it. FEAR 2 is much more action-oriented, with little suspense. Actually, a couple of levels reminded me of Return to Castle Wolfenstein (which is a game that I really like.)

omega64: FEAR 1.
I think FEAR 1 might be quite a bit better. :-)
Good afternight people how are you guise doing?

So I let the Alien escape... Or maybe I avoided being caught by it? I don't know, it's confusing, I am confusing (I've not slept much lately, but I can't get myself to fall asleep either). Anyway that ship's sailed away and probably sunk in the middle of the atlantic by now. Time to board pillage and possibly rape a different ship.

Hurm, those horse are looking mighty fine right now.

So FPS now? This is my happy face.

I was looking through the steamworks filthy sewers, full of the most disgusted slodge ever miscarried by a mutant sub-human developer, and found... yet another UnitZ asset flip, made by a (unsurprisingly) russian guy, who goes by the moniker of (drum-roll please) Semen Rodik

Old good CoD, or the new console generation stuff? o_O

I was tempted to get FEAR 2, but I think I will just stick to the first game and the expansions. :-)

Like sticking my dick in a juicer and pretending I'm doing Elsa Pataky.

Which is an extremely hard thing to do. It's difficult to suspend one's suspension of disbelief when dealing with inanimate objects.

I meant Chris Hemsworth's wife, the juicer has a lot more personality.

So I was gallivanting about the Internets as I'm wont to do on rare ocassions. When I, by chance or happenstance discovered this.
And yes I had no idea that even existed.
I'm not sure what emotions I should be feeling right now. The appeal of the original incarnation's storyline was it's overall ambiguity, If they're going to attempt to provide clear cut explanations craved in stone. It'd loose a lot of appeal.

I'll settle for condescending apathy!

Nevermind, CoD isn't a good comparison :-p I kinda like my Return to Castle Wolfenstein comparison though.

Still, FEAR 2 is not a bad game at all... It's just... Not FEAR. It doesn't "feel" like FEAR. It is too different, and too console-ish. Important things changed, like that there are fewer shadows in the game. And while power-armour is fun to use, it takes away from the scary vibe when you can obliterate everything without a care.
Originally, it was not even going to be called "FEAR 2". It as simply going to be "Project Origin".

I have not played a Dark Souls game, but I know they are quite open with their story and the players interpitation, so making a comic would be a little odd. I guess they don't care about the older games anymore, or maybe it will take place in a different part of the world, maybe a new storyline?
Good evening everyone *big hugs and waves*

Home from volleyball and just finished Ittle Dew :)

How are you all doing?

Fear 3 is pretty much co-op CoD.

Also sleepy.
