The earlier problem I had with a game got worse after unplugging the controller.
Reinstalled it still had the same issue.
Started a new game and now I can't move at all. xD
Any opinions on the new bundle? I own 4 out of 8, which is one of the better ratios for me in these bundles. :-)

That is bad. Will you ask GOG for a refund now that it won't play properly at all?

Probably, as long as they'll let me.

Why would they not let you if the game will not work?

I don't know, previous experience.
With Quake I couldn't get the music to work and they wouldn't refund me because it worked/ I could just play the worse looking/performing dos version (or whatever still no soundtrack)
Eventually got it to work asking the forum but it was still a really shitty experience.

That does not sound too good. I have not had a problem with a game so far, but I have had payment problems and I know that GOG support is not always the most helpful at times. But this game looks like it is virtually unplayable, not just a music issue but a game breaking issue, so hopefully they will give you a refund.
[Blocks that Matter] Level cleared \o/ !! I need a break for a few months n__o

But Moon might beat you in the game if you take a break. :-)

*big congratulations hug*
What a boring weekly promo .

It's a lovely bundle! ...
FEAR is one of the three best shooters on GOG. Buy it :-)
FEAR 2 is a good action game, but an awful sequel, and bad horror game. Pretend it is not a FEAR game, and you'll like it more.
Blood is my favourite old shooter. Plenty of fun weapons, lots of blood (hence the name :-)) and a touch of humour. If you can handle the old graphics and controls, I recommend it. It's a nice horror game.
Blood 2 is okay, but I was frustrated with the difficulty. You'll instagib everything in one hit on easy, but get killed too easily on medium. This came out during the awkward 2D-->3D transition for FPS games, so the graphics and lighting feel a bit "off" at times to me.
Unreal is an under-appreciated gem. It is a lovely world with good atmosphere, and great weapons. I need to play it again.
Blake Stone is a Wolfenstein 3D clone. Nothing too special, but not bad. I liked it better than Wolfenstein.
Rise of the Triad is... I dunno. It was fun when I was a kid, but I just can't get into it now. It's kind of an FPS-platformer. Lots of jumping and dodging spikes.
I have not yet tried Undying.

Hi, all ^__^ *wavies* I have been out of the loop for waaaaay too long! I stopped down to talk to Lavendar and Momo for a while last night, and realized just how long it's been since I've come to visit my favorite forum!

Life is treating me well, though I'm worn out most of the time :p Still loving my not-so-new-anymore job -- It's high-stress, but really rewarding working in hospice ♥ The exhaustion really comes in when I've had a rough day at work, then the kids need me to do a lot of physical activity with them. *dazed look* So tired! haha Youngest has decided that she needs to spend an hour or two walking up and down the aisles at a local store. 'Round and 'round and 'round we go... Doesn't matter if mama is tired, she needs to *go*! Silly thing :p In my scarce free time, I'm either sleeping (yay weekends!) playing my games, or trying to spend a little time with my family. Sometimes I just need to zone out, and then I hop on SteamGifts or play a flash game. My life is definitely full, but at least I'm not bored! XD

How are y'all?

(no responses for at least four hours -- break time's over!)

Hello, lovely lady!

It is so great to see you again, and to hear that life has been treating you well. Your just must indeed be very rewarding, I volunteer now and then when I am able and I know how rewarding that can be, so working at a place like that must be very rewarding, but also very challenging and rough. I hope things will start to slow down a little for you so you can have more time to rest and recover, but I guess kids can be quite the handful. But I am sure you will cope okay. You just be sure to take care of yourself. *big hug*

Hey there, GC! Good to hear from you :-) And really glad to hear that things have been going well for you, despite being a bit exhausting. I hope life will keep treating you well.

So if we have to pretend FEAR 2 is not a FEAR game, what other FPS game would you compare it to?
