omega64: It helps that the Windows version of Corpse Party is originally from 2008. :P
The original version way back is even from 1996.
So is this a remake, or a port of the 1996 game?

avatar
AgentBirdnest: The second thing. Anime is not my thing. Giant eyes, tiny mouths, and pointy chins kinda creep me out :-|
*big scared hug*
You forgot the giant boobs, and the underage girls who are all slutty but that no one seems to think is slightly inappropriate and very creepy. o_O

*big Anime can be fun, but is also very scary return hug*

ElTerprise: Hm....good thing is that i need a new controller anyway - guess i could play it your way then ;)
It worked for the second one. It was difficult, but not too bad.
The first one is just obnoxious, though.

j0ekerr: Wait, it's an RPG-Maker game?

Oh my god! The; quality! I can feel it, oozing from the screen right into my pores all the way down to my fuzzy toes.
Visual Novels are different, they're basically a bunch of images, with some text on the bottom part, then you get to decide between two different choices at random points. Then you either die or are exposed to more creative(pfffft) japanese writing.

I still don't get why they're called bad ends.
I have no idea, I was just guessing based on the look of the game. But thank you for the clarification about visual novels. I guess they would not need any actual gameplay other than text and the occasional new static image.

CarrionCrow: Not yet, no. Wanting to see what all shows up before I start spending money.

Hmm. That doesn't sound like fun. Did everyone have to go away on business for a few days?
it is nice that they bundles stick around after each update. Are there any games so far that you might be getting?

Yes, although it is also for fun. My partner is away with work in Australia for a few days. There is a bit of work to do, but she will also have a lot of free time to have fun with her work colleagues and see the sights. Originally I was to go as well, but I am not allowed to travel at the moment, so sadly I miss out on some of the fun. But that is okay, I am just glad I was able to persuade her into still going as she could use a lovely break after all the things she has had on recently.

j0ekerr: You'd need a full set of S&M gear to do that.

The spikes point IN!
Well i don't think that i'll need the full experience - it's like 3D movies...usually not worth it :P

Hm....well i'm not in a hurry for those games....

moonshineshadow: Simon the Sorcerer 1+2 are great adventures. 4+5 are not good, but also not bad if you can play them in German, otherwise the clearly fall into the bad category. Haven't played 3 yet, it is supposed to be awful :D
So... I just need to learn German, and download the German versions? Sounds simple enough :-)

What about Shovel Knight? Owl suggested it to me, since I was too much of a wuss to play Volgarr :-p
Or Return to Mysterious Island? It sure looks nice...

As far as I'm aware they translated the Windows version from 2008.
The PSP version is a bit more recent than that.

I didn't forget them... I just chose not to mention boobs, otherwise we'd end up talking about them all night :-p
*silly hug*

ddickinson: You don't like visual novels (if that is what it is)? But it is anime with RPG maker type graphics? Steam has hundreds of them, so they must all be really good. o_O

Corpse Party is a VN with some added gameplay inbetween.
The second is a VN with Point and click elements instead of this.

They're called bad ends in CP because people die. :P

Thinking I'll grab at least a couple items, depending on how the bundles turn out. Don't really have a ton of money to spend right now, so I'll be resisting the urge to wipe out a bunch of 20+ dollar items just because.

That's very considerate of you, D. =) Hopefully the next time she's off doing stuff, you'll be in good enough health to go with her.

Beware the horrifying, ghastly, horrid, and above all baffling... umlaut!

It's dangerous to go alone, take this ñ.

Yes, why is that so bad?
It stops the pain of poorly translated moonrunes.
And when they're properly translated it's even worse.

Shovel Knight was fun. I even managed to defeat the stupid bosses *yeah* :D
And somehow it doesn't surprise me that Owl suggested it to you, I got my copy from her.
Return to Mysterious Island looks nice, I'll add it to the install list.

Well if there is any games you really want and don't have the money for them, be sure to let me know. While it is not as fun ninja gifting if you know about it, I would be more than happy to get you a gift.

I was not about to stop her having fun, even if it was a challenge to get her to agree to go. Plus I get to spend the next few days planning some lovely surprises for when she gets home and for our weekend, so it is not too bad. I don't really mind too much about missing it, it annoyed me a lot more at Christmas when we were unable to spend Christmas in Norway due to me not being able to travel, especially back then. But there is lots of time for us to travel and have fun once I am well enough to travel.

Yes, two big boobies. :-)
