EndreWhiteMane: And at the totally opposite end of the spectrum, I just got my wheelbarrow fixed.
The truly odd part is that that somehow pleases me. :-)
avatar
CarrionCrow: That's not odd. Wheelbarrows are useful items. Beats the crap out of hauling everything by hand.
See response above. :-)

EndreWhiteMane: It was my excuse for not moving the extra 1400 kilos of compost I have in the parking lot at work. :-O
Okay, in that case, it might not quite be so good. :P

Hmm. Seems like it might be time for your wheelbarrow to have another "accident".

FearfulSymmetry: I definitely did. It's just a shame the weather was terrible and I was half-frozen in my costume. :P

Good to hear you're feeling better, hopefully that'll continue. And yeah, it'll be interesting to see what goes on sale.

Things have been pretty insane. I've been so busy I haven't really had a life these past few months, and that's kind of catching up to me. And right now I should be working on my thesis since I have another chapter due Wednesday evening, and I still have nothing, but I can't really manage to concentrate.

I'm doing all right physically, though, so things could have been worse. :P
With you working so hard for months straight, your brain trying to shut down a bit seems reasonable.
Try to shove a break or two in when you can so you don't burn out.
Also, please try to avoid becoming violently ill at festivals. =)

Did you ever figure out what was happening with your ear?

Yep, I know why it's happening, there's just not much I can do about it. I have no real choice but to bear with it. There's nothing I can delay right now or it'll have serious consequences. So I'll just have to stick with it until late June and hope I don't run myself ragged before that. :P

I'll try, but no promises. :P

Yes, I did. It's another tale of the variety 'I really cannot believe my own body sometimes'. Apparently, my hearing is too good. This makes it so that my ears try to clamp down on loud sounds so I don't go crazy. The condition is aggravated by noise (hello classroom full of thirty teenagers) and stress (hello thesis). By pulling a certain muscle my ears are trying to prevent loud noises from getting in, and that's what's causing the weird sensation/sound. It's not serious, since there's no damage to my ear, but it is annoying. The ENT doctor told me I should either relax (not an option right now) or wait for my ears to get used to lots of noise.

Well...in that case, I'll just hope you don't go frothing at the mouth-level mental over the stress until it's over. =)

Take a coat with you. It's not worth it to be the maiden who's coughing and blowing her nose every 8 seconds.

That could be useful. You might have a documented medical excuse for punching some asshole teenager in the neck. ;)

Haha, me too. :P

Well, I did wear a wrap. And long sleeves. I'm not completely insane. :P But I'm not sure my shoes are going to survive the ordeal. I didn't recognize them this morning because they'd suddenly changed from black to brown. Yay for mud.

Yes, it might be actually, I hadn't considered that. I'd have a documented medical excuse to tell annoying people to shut up as well.

It's going to take a week of soaking to get them back to their original color...

That works too. Yay for turning negatives into positives. You can have less discomfort, and hopefully you can make some shitbag cry in the process. =)
Good evening everyone *big hugs and waves* :)

May your wallets be empty and your libraries be filled (uhm at least at the end of the sale that is) :P

Good evening. =)

Um...I already have everything. They can't get more of my coin without new stuff to tempt me with. ;)

Good afternoon.

I knew there was somethingt fishy when I saw no weekly staff picks at noon.

BLOODLINES IS HERE, BLOODLINES IS HERE!!! And they even provide the patch!

Too bad I got 'em at the other place already... Sigh.

Good evening. =)

Will buy it again anyway. Even if you look at it on basic levels, there's still three distinct ways to play through the game.
20 hours a run, 60 hours total, puts the cost per hour at 0.33 at retail price. Totally worth it.

It was an insta-buy for me... and then I realized I had it on Steam already. Didn't *really* care, as I knew I'd rather play a gog copy when I did get around to finally playing it, but you just helped me feel a bit more justified in my decision. Thanks for that!
I'm *still* listening to this Bedhead box set I received today... with some other sleepy music slipped in here and there. But I just realized I never put in my pre-order for the Neurosis lp box set, and now I'm feeling grumpy. I could still totally order it, but it's expensive as crap, and I just spent more on games and records in the past month than I'd ever admit to another living soul. :)

You do that, and maybe I might do it too.
But I'm in no hurry, I'll wait for it to be part of a sale.

Wait, Bethesda got the IP rights to the Doom franchise?

What does a vulture sound like?
