Hello!,
So first thoughts on the first Batman serial of 1943: Some things about it are a little...uncomfortable (specifically stereotypes and wartime propaganda) but overall it was solid enough. It ran about 26 minutes in length, the audio and picture are decent enough, it has good overall production values (sets included) for its time and the acting is pretty good as well. Overall (besides the issues mentioned earlier) it has held up well and I mostly enjoyed it and am looking forward to the rest of the series.
So yeah, so far Gotham City Serials has been worth the $5 I spent on it.
I, being a Buffy/Angel/Spike nerd, bought the highest tier of the Buffy/Angel/Spike comic/graphic novel Humble Bundle bundle. So I've got most (I think?) of the comics/graphic novels set in the Buffyverse, I'm pretty pleased about that. I actually hadn't read any of the comics/novels before, outside of a few issues of a Spike series and have managed to avoid (most) spoilers so I've got some BIG plans (hah) for my next two days off (which start tomorrow, yay).
I hope you all are doing (at the very worst) mediocre!
