JoeyMallone: Hmmm... Let's break this down, Agent-style B-)
Forget any games that require lightning-quick reflexes. FPS, racing, and most platformers¹ are out.
Managing an army in an RTS game requires a lot of brainpower. One miscalculation because you are sleepy, and suddenly Earth is obliterated. No good.
A nice adventure game might have a relaxing pace, but if you are too tired, you might not be able to pay attention to the story, and you'll get lost.
Puzzle games likely won't work at all if you are too tired :-p
An open-world game can be relaxing, if it is one that you are familiar with. But learning a new one will require plenty of attention and awakeness.
A managerial or city/base/nation/house/family building game might be a good choice. Something with a slow pace that plays itself and requires minimal attention² :-)
¹ an exception to platformers and puzzle games would be a slow paced puzzle-platformer. Something like Blocks that Matter or Trine.
² Tropico is one of my favourites :-)
Also... good morning, Akh. Glad to hear it is "only" food poisoning :-\ ... like you said, better than a virus. Hope it clears up quickly.
You are awesome. One of my biggest roadblocks today was the actual thinking I'd need to do in order to even decide what type of game may work. I'm thinking I'll most likely go with something I can play in very small doses with a gamepad, like Hand of Fate or some such. Thanks for this, you saved me a lot of thinking I wasn't feeling so ready for, haha :)
Feeling much better today already, so I think things will likely be back to "normal" in no time. :)
