CarrionCrow: It's all right. Nothing major in any grand scheme of things.

You're very welcome. =) Good call, twins sound more than chaotic enough, let alone more than that.
Good, you boys need to stop getting ill. :-)

Thank you again.

JoeyMallone: My friend and his wife had triplets last May. He hasn't slept in 11 months ;-p

Hoooo... nice pace :-D I'm only averaging about 1 per month at the moment :-|
Did you enjoy them all?
The thing is, with my lovely family supporting us we could manage with three kids, but I think that will still be a few too many for me. I am not greedy, one will do for now. :-)

I hear you can catch STDs on the game, and get them addicted to drugs. But I must say, it looks terrible compared to Huniepop in the art style department. The new one looks like a clicker game for the most part.

ddickinson: Blob game good, Gone Home game terrible, Firewatch game unknown as my system can't run it. :-)
I really liked Firewatch. I had to turn down some graphics to run it at a decent framerate though - which was a shame because the game looks fantastic. The dialogue was really well written and i also liked the ending which apparently a lot of people don't like - it was fitting imho.
Yep the blob game was an enjoyable game and it was also quite helpful to notice that i have to replace my controller soon *sigh*...
Gone Home was decent but a definitely weaker game than Firewatch for example.

CarrionCrow: Can't complain here, overall. Made the mistake of mixing oregano capsules with a heavy slug of max strength Nyquil, so now it feels like there's a hot coal slowly searing its way through my stomach, but that's about it. -laughs-

Good job with the game completions. Hoping to wipe one out today myself.
That's good to hear - except for the hot coal part ;)
Thanks...well i just have to finish some game to reduce my backlog at least a bit :)

Sounds like a good plan. Don't go for 3+ to start with ;-)

So... after taking a quick look at the screenshots, I think I've changed my mind. Good gog... those cartoon girls look like they are 13 õ__ô ... I'll stick with managing Tropicans...

Firewatch does look nice. And the Space Blob game is a lot of silly fun.

As for Gone Home, I thought it was dull and just so overrated, using political correctness to dismiss all criticism, like the current BG DLC.

A quick question for you about Gone Home, but only read if you are done with the game as it could be a spoiler:

Did you discover the sub-story about the father being abused?

Well it worked with those games because they are all not that long and also games that can be finished :P
But generally i'm aiming for a 2-3 game per month pace which should be possible :)
Yes all things considered with Gone Home being the weakest of the three - mostly because it had the least gameplay :)
The Mutant blob game was an enjoyable ride (with some annoying sequences) and Firewatch was an awesome experience :D

I hope not as you can make them be hookers and they do naked cam shows. I think it is the usual anime style of making everyone look underage with big boobs.
*waves at thread*

Just came back from watching the horror movie at the cinema. And luckily this time I wasn't all by myself watching it (that's happened before, just me, the empty cinema and the horror movie :P).

Ah... my problem is that many of the games I play are really long (Dragonfall took me 36 hours :-p), or can't really be "finished" (like Terraria.) .... and just a ton of really plucking hard platformers that I'll never complete :-p

Some people aren't brave enough to watch the Smurfs movie. That's why you were the only one there. ;)

Yeah... "usual"... typically it's the best way to turn me off from a game/movie/whatever. Never really been a fan of that style.
Other random ways to turn me off : "Tough as nails", "pixel art", "Devolver" :-p

You could say that. Played it through once and it won't get a second. It will forever be a mystery.

*thank you hug* Yep, it was pretty decent. A nice distraction. :)

Ooooooooh, that's it. Now I finally get it. Some people just can't see the artistic value and deeply moving story. ;)

Agreed. I also liked the slight cartoony artstyle in Firewatch :)
To be honest i don't really care about all that stuff going around those games - but it is a bit overrated mostly because it's too light on actual gameplay imho.... i mean Firewatch is not heavy on gameplay either but there is still more to it and it's also slightly less linear due to its dialogue system then Gone Home.
Depends on how clear it was mentioned in game. I found some stuff that highly suggested that...especially in the basement.
