ddickinson: Are you all looking forward to the weekend promo? Are there any games that you are hoping will appear?
Not that much, last weekend's promo kind of made up for the disappointment that was insomnia. I'm pretty much covered for the rest of the month.

That and X-Com

ddickinson: Cheer up, lovely Mr Ghost. Things could always be worse, it could have broken for your region in general, and stopped you posting on the forum. At least for the moment we can still keep in touch with our favourite Moomin in the whole kingdom of Fred. *big hug*
That's true. I'm glad that the alt account works, and I can still talk to everyone. It even let me change my avatar ;-)
Speaking of avatars - It's great to see you back, Battle Sister!! :-D

j0ekerr: Sleep is for the weak, just ask the evil eyed avian.
Whom is probably playing an all thri-kreen party in dark sun right now instead of sleeping.
I do tend to get a little more sleep on the weekend (about 8 hours, maybe), but during the week 4-5 hours is normally all I need for the days work and to enjoy the evening as well. But I grew up with early mornings and hard work, so I guess I am just used to it.

How is your Friday going?

Maybe just maybe lifeless planet or Victor Vran at 75% off ;-)

I only just noticed that! *does happy dance*
Not that I don't like my other one, but that is clearly a winter icon, not one for spring. :-)

How are you today my lovely friend? I hope you are coping okay? *big super hug*
Good morning everyone *big hugs and waves* :)

I have only played Lifeless Planet, which I did enjoy, although I know many did not. I am a sucker for 50s/60s feel sci-fi. There were lots of things that made no sense, which I won't go into so as not to spoil anything, but overall I enjoyed it. I did get it DRM-Free as part of a bundle, otherwise I would still be waiting for it to get a better discount than the 50% it normally has.

Good morning!

How are you today?

Yeah, it was nice, but not very April-y :-p

I felt awful the instant I woke up... I feel a little better than I did last night though, so that's something. *little cheer for little victories* :-)
So a Ubisoft promo.

Hmmm. Anyone have any recommendations on the following games:

1. Prince of Persia
2. Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time
3. Prince of Persia: Warrior Within
4. Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones
5. Assassin's Creed: Director's Cut

I did also consider the Far Cry gams, but I have heard and seen some bad parts of those games that would put me off, like terrible re-spawning enemies, etc.

Sorry to hear that, but I am glad that you are feeling a little better. I hope that carries on for the rest of the day. *big comforting feel well soon hug*
1. Prince of Persia -NOT LIKE OTHER PoP games art is awesome though
2. Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time-Most puzzle oriented one of the 3 as I recall
3. Prince of Persia: Warrior Within-IMHO Weakest of the 3 "mainline" PoP games
4. Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones-It being the 3rd part best balance of series if you were to only get one
5. Assassin's Creed: Director's Cut-I like PoP Vs. AC WAY better

That's good to hear :)
Well i might clear some stuff from my wishlist like the Warlords Battlecry games or Shadow Watch. Maybe the Panzer General games but i mostly have what i want from the Ubisoft line-up :)

Hm...the Prince of Persia games (i only played Sands of Time, Warrior Within and The Two Thrones) are good action-adventures. AC is not a bad game (it has a beautiful world) but it's repetitive in its gameplay... i still hope we'll get the newer ones eventually - especially Assassin's Creed 2...

PoP 2008 is okay, Like the graphics.
Despised AC:DC, I don't really like the series in general. They seem to prefer animation quality etc. over responsiveness.
Edit; AC IV is a bit more fun due to having boats.

Thank you all for the feedback.

I do like the art style on the Prince of Persia game (the newer one), and I have heard good things about them. Assassin Creed I was wondering about as I have never played any of them and wanted to see what all the fuss was about. I will take a look at them and try to decide, but with the way I am with getting myself games I doubt I will end up picking any up for myself. :-)
