So I took a look at the current community wishlist and was quite suprised to see games like Diablo and Warcraft in there.
Now I played those games as a kid and love them as much as anyone, but do people here really think that there is even the slightest chance, that Blizzard will allow anyone to distribute those games?
Imo this is completely impossible and a wasted slot on the wishlist.

When I joined in 2012, most people here thought the exact same thing about Lucas Arts. The idea of getting the X-Wing games was ludicrous.

And don't forget Disney which imo also was a little miracle.

Actually that's the same miracle. We only got Lucas Arts here after Disney bought it.

Anyway, I don't see the problem here. Sure it's pretty much impossible we'll ever get Blizzard here, but it's not like we cane "waste" space on the wishlist. It's not like GOG is somehow wasting it's time and resources on that task because of it and not getting other games.

Warcraft and Diablo aren't the strangest wishes out there. For example: some people want console exclusive games from Sony & Nintendo on GOG, like Uncharted series, God of War series, Mario games or The Legend of Zelda series.

Ooops - totally forgot about this fact.

It doesn't really matter, the point is to let people show interest in games they want to see on GOG, even virtually impossible ones. It's a factor - of course not the only one - GOG uses in helping them decide what games to zero in on trying to release here, so in theory if they ever wanted to try to bring Blizzard's classics here, one angle they could use is "We have tens of thousands of votes for these games, so as you can see there is a lot of interest and some money to be made in re-releases."

Maybe all possible many years down the line as demand gradually drops.

Well it's a "wish list". If more girls were here we probably would have ponies and unicorns on it.

I'm just disappointed, they're not making much progress with this. We probably need more voted.

SEGA is one i'd like to see. I'd love to see VF, here. However, I know, that they have a stick shoved so far up their bottom, and they think that if they pull it out it wouldn't stink.

Would it not be better to get an empty Wand of Wishing and 2 or 3 Blessed Scrolls of Charging?

Then again, cursed genocide scroll would be nice. Gotta love them nurses. You can also use one to summon unicorns as well.
