Engineering a productive future.

Rise of Industry is coming soon to Games in Development, DRM-free on GOG.com.
There is no force in the universe more interested in pushing the world forward than the industrialist. In this upcoming tycoon game you become that force. Raising factories, setting up trade routes, researching new technologies or arranging transport for your raw materials is how you will expand your early 20th-century empire in this unpredictable, procedurally-generated world.
Looks like it could be interesting and seems to involve more than just the transport networks that Open Transport Tycoon offers.

Could be a fun management game.

Wishlisted for now.

Nothing is better than Open Transport Tycoon Deluxe!
The aesthetic appears to be quite charming.

Fear not, not suggesting this is better, just that its focus seems different. Perhaps poor wording on my initial post =)
Looks great, I'm loving the TTD vibe I'm getting off if it though it seems its more like industry giant. No growing of towns or transporting passengers/mail unfortunately :P (though I suppose that doesn't fit the theme)
Would be cool if one of these games would have passengers and other cars on the road to make the world seem a bit more alive.

I still have to finish SimCity 4, so maybe later. Who knows how many DLCs this game will have.

Somehow I like the look of those trees.
The sight of this game makes me immediately think of the Capitalism series. I wonder if it is intended as a spiritual successor to it.

I'll wishlist it.for when it goes on a good enough sale.
Visually, looks good; i usually enjoy the minimal artstyle (like in Block'hood for example) and RoI seems to deliver on this account; also, the UI looks nice. As for its gameplay, it's too early to judge/compare and comment. Will see about it when the final version is released.

How do you finish SimCity 4? The game doesn't have an ending.
Nice. Will definitely be getting it after release. Been following the development.

Now, I would also love to see the Transport Gigant/Giant game thats missing next to ist sibling aka Industry Giant 2.

It is the current Zeitgeist in game design.

I recognized the "Dapper Penguin" and was trying to remember where I saw it. This was formerly known as "Project Automata" when it was in its earlier stages, I believe.
