New Civilization game on the way, they will release it in 2016 October.
What do you think?

Oh god, there goes another 200 hours...
Seems like the developers are fans of Endless Legend and Rise of Legends. I mean like real fans.

200 hours? My current total for Civ 5 is 1518 hours and rising.

I made a wishlist to vote on not to long ago.

Vote if you want Sid Meier's Civilization VI released for sale on gog.com.

I like the idea of districts, it should at least mix up the formula a little...

My main issue with Civ games (and most other similar games) is that there only ever seems to be one real way to play.

For example in Civ V (the last one I've spent any serious time in) the five main resources were equally important for any city (without food you didn't get more citizens, without production you couldn't build, without culture you couldn't expand and utilise more tiles. Research and gold were slightly less important for every city, but they were important in the larger scheme of things so you couldn't afford to skimp on them) so every city basically turned out the same. Every game I'd build the same buildings in the same order..
I'd like to see something that changed that, maybe allowing importing and exporting of food and production between cities so you could have cities that specialised and focused on one area (or a limit to the number of buildings so you had to choose which bonuses to go for)

Still, it sounds interesting. Would definitely get it if it came here :)
Wow! It's been so long since Civ V already? It felt like yesterday.

I guess turns in real life are flying by too fast. :(
With franchises like this, I always wonder what features are going to be cut, only to be re-added in DLC. Is this jaded cynicism, or is this happening a lot these days?

Trade routes? From what I recall, you could be sending food and/or production from one city to another, as long as you had trade routes available. Or am I recalling a totally different game? You do need Brave New World from what I recall though.

You're correct, it's from Civ V. Don't know if it comes with Brave New World but it is there.

Cynicism. A developer has an idea for a game, and wishes to add a ton of features. Some do not get added to the game (not enough time, play testers don't feel it's good enough etc), but player feedback later on may have the developer revisit said features.
Think of Civ V's extra civilizations. Were those features removed from the base game, or were those players asking why they couldn't play in their own civilization?

Copy the link, remove the http:// part and paste it. Or try replying to me and posting the link.

Everything "I" need to know is not answered. gog release. While my gut tells me "nope" I would not rule out that gog might have gotten the rudder around by its release to be taken more serious for first day releases by the biggies.

Hmm, it worked this time. Last time I tried it it said you cannot post at this moment.

I don't remember that from the Vanilla version... I'd assume you did need the expansion for it.

Which is something that annoyed me, seeing as quite a few things that were in the expansions were in Civ IV (or at least the DS version I had).

Good to know it is at least something that they've considered / implemented before. Maybe it will make it into the base game this time...
