so i recently purchased darksiders warmastered edition but for some reason when i try to instsl it i get a error saying code -11 and i was hoping someone had a answer to my problem

Are you trying to install the game via GOG Galaxy or are you using the offline installers?

A quick google and...that error code be some bad news mate.
You seen this error any other time but when installing this particular game?

windows 10 and yes it is up to date

this time it didnt crash past the error 11 message and intead said " UNable to execute file: C:\Users\User\AppData\Local\Temp\is-DCV66.tmp\dx_unp\DXSETUP.exe" i followed the address it said and the folder dx_unp doesnt exist could this be my problem?

Try this :

Open Windows Defender Security Center

Go to Virus & threat protection - Virus & threat protection settings

Scroll down to Controlled folder access

Temporarily turn off Controlled Folder Access and try running that installer again

Please Note, do not leave Controlled Folder Access permanently disabled .

The folder likely doesn't exist now because it got cleaned up when the install failed (temporary file).
Could be a corrupt DX package (corrupt installer package). Post the names of all your installer files here. I ask anyone with this game, and the same installers, please calculate a checksum on your files for kenny to use. Alternatively, you could re-download your installers again.

Alternatively, it is a system error that is not allowing certain files to install properly.
Are you using an admin-level account to install? That might be worth a try.
