I have a limited internet connection back at home so I usually download games at my work or at my friends place. Can it be done with pre-loaded games?
I wouldn't want to get dissapointed on december 10th :P

EDIT: It does work, just treat it like a normal game transfer :D

Why not? It's just ones and zeroes.

It'll be fine, unless GOG has added more DRM.

You mean beyond the rewards that require online connection of the game to your account through Galaxy?

Yeah. I'm actually curious if they've added more than that, so someone should try this for sure.

my main wonder is about file detection and localisation. I tried this once on steam and it didn't work out. While it's not an exactly comparable experience I'd guess there are many areas in which a problem may occur so I did hope for someone who has (sucessfully) went through all that

Normally there should be any issue, at worse if will scan the folder and download the missing part if needed. What we don't know however is if the pre-load data include the "zero-day" patch or if this one will only be available on release date. In which case it might be better to download on release day to be sure everything is included.

That's a good point. I guess I'll just pack my pc and take it for a ride to my friends place just for peace of mind. I don't mind day 1 patch as much, I don't think it will be as big as the entire game.
I hope at least xd

Don't see why not, just copy the files. Preloading would be either just the major textures/images/sounds/video that doesn't change, and then a remainder of the download, or everythign but the exe.

Though some places area already selling physical copies, so... i'd say more than likely it's all but the actual exe file.
Hey guys, an update from me. In the end I did try to pre-load the game on another PC and to tranfer the files and everything worked flawlessly :D
