What browser do you have TinyE? you can get a Youtube downloader and you can download YT vids in a manner of minutes I download mine @ 144p it's shit but with my crappy ADSL it works like a charm.

Is that your download quota? because 25Gigs of download is small I'd go with a better ISP if I were you.

Inauthentic/targeted downvoting has been a severe problem on these forums for years and nothing gets done about it despite numerous pending wishlist requests.

Everyone who speaks out against the "low rated" censorship regime ends up getting targeted for low-rating of every post. I'm being targeted for this as well.
First off, you seem to have good intentions BUT this will only egg some(even some who would be on your side) on and make them upset towards you(for bringing the subject up with a new thread instead of using the old ones, for one thing).

Also it won't likely do squat. Staff(the coders/techs) say they have been "working on the rep system/problems" for around a few years now....any boycott(if people still buy anyways) won't do much if anything, sadly.

IMO to solve rampant downvoting all posts should show who downvoted them(and upvoted as well). This would keep some from hitting either button too quickly for fear of being outed as a mass downrater or using alts to prop up their own rep.

SirHandsome: Who cares, it doesnt affect what you have to say in the slightest or your ability to say it.
I think its wierd people care about the system at all.
It auto hides(greys out) threads if the OP post is low rated....even if there are new posts. Also doing so essentially tells some who don't know those users better that they are "bad" people to be avoided and some follow such ratings of users here.

if a reputation system is kept at all -- which I think it should be scrapped -- it should be "open" for all to see.

That stay on topic bit is vague....does it mean all threads(if so then why do some not get such warnings to get back ontopic while others do?) including those where the op says offtopic is ok? Does it mean a few offtopic posts are not allowed or massive amount of such?

Also the derailing thing is done by trolls in some of my threads all the time yet nothing is done unless I report it.
