The soundtracks are a welcome addition, the rest is mostly fluff I don't care for to be honest.

drmike: We're also discussing it with the recent release of Avernum 3:

https://www.gog.com/forum/general/release_avernum_3_ruined_world_c16c7/post4

The pdf of the manual is in the DLC although further on in that thread, it;s mentioned there's a built into the game manual:

https://www.gog.com/forum/general/release_avernum_3_ruined_world_c16c7/post17

Skimming the developer's website, it appears that way for most if not all of their games.
The manual also exists as a pdf in the game files, making the the presence of a manual in the DLC a bit of a mystery. In what way do they differ? No one knows (or at least has informed the wider community).

Sorry, first I;ve seen of that post. I went with what the blue stated a few posts up with the manual being in game.

And again, from reviewing the developer's website, that seems to be the way they operate.

Sorry for the confusion.

edit: Makes it hard following up when folks restate what's already been stated in the thread and folks follow up on that.

Don't worry, I figured you hadn't seen that post. I was just keeping you, and anyone else who might find it interesting, up to date.

Themken: You want cake you bake yourself. GOG's cake was a lie.

TARFU: GOG promised us there would be cake. I am disappoint.

The deal was altered.

Sorry, couldn't resist. ;)
Worst case, is the "Fallout" treatment. Bonus goodies are arbitrarily removed, but permanently, without any way to obtain them ever again, be it through payment, or otherwise. Removing something only to take a dump on the playerbase and fans is one thing, profiteering from extra selling pieces, is another.
