I responded to someone who was making inaccurate racial generalizations re whites, correctly pointing out that whites are not the dominant power in media. This was then taken by Starmaker to be an attack on Jews, which I also responded to. There was *no* randomness at all with anything I posted re whites or Jews.

I'm concerned about what appears to be racial bias against whites on the part of GOG. I note that you said nothing about the Asian poster's racial generalizations, nor did I see you say anything at all to the poster who decided it was perfectly OK to bring up "white privilege" in a thread about a shooting tragedy. I'm very concerned about this, because it sends the message that racial generalizations are perfectly OK as long as they're directed at whites. They're only "bad" when they're directed at groups that have been granted ideological victim status.

It's similar to an incident that occurred at Evergreen State College that happened about a year ago, where a liberal Jewish professor was attacked because he chose not to participate in a "protest" that attempted to exclude whites from the college campus for a day, because he didn't think racial shaming was morally acceptable, and would have negative consequences for the college. Attendance has since dropped from over 900 to under 300, so apparently he was right.

I really hope that this can be resolved amicably, Linko, because I don't think either of us are well-served by dragging this out indefinitely.

BTW, Telika and Starmaker, do you think it's OK to throw Bret Weinstein under the bus for failing to show deference to the ideological orthodoxy of the extreme left? And what if it turned out that I am also Jewish, would that make any difference?
You failed to stick to the rules. You were banned as a result. Oddly enough, the other users who were also banned for similar things took it gracefully and have since understood they breached the rules. I'd hope you follow in their path.

Simply put, if you fail to stay within the rules, you will be banned again. I have been nothing but amicable, and yet you are now claiming I'm 'biased towards white people'.

I suggest you take your banning as a message to stay within the rules. Failure to do so will result in further bans. The rules apply to everyone, you included.

You have failed to substantiate your accusations re "random" racial references. *Everything* I posted was in response to other posts that brought up racial influence, so how could it possibly be true that I was the one brought up racial influence?

Please substantiate your accusations or retract them, or I shall take the matter up with your superiors.

The past is what got us to this situation because GoG was a relatively open forum which various groups object to. So whenever there was a topic like that forums posters would either scream racists or (((the jeeeeeeewws))) at each other derailing the thread.
An example would be this thread https://www.gog.com/forum/general/happy_birthday_nhs/page3 where people who didn't like the argument started calling people conspiracy theorists or trolls.


The link to the new code of conduct doesn't display properly on some browsers because of javascript. It would be better if it was put down next to the thanks part at the bottom of the page.

There is NO WAY that I will buy anything from any online retailer that has forum rules like this.

Most of this is nonsensical rules that allow for FAR too much speculation and personal interpretation.

Your users need to grow the fuck up. It's not up to you to "protect" anyone fragile sensibilities, and I won't support any platform that does this.

Steam does this and I stopped supporting them, now you're doing this so I guess I'm going back to amazon...
