KneeTheCap: Seriously, why are you buying from them?
avatar
GR00T: Because, cheep keyzzz...

Well, after GOG pulled 5 G2A games from my library without notice; that's pretty much the same reason I still buy from GOG - two or three times a year GOG will have a non-dlc-heavy game for sale under $6 which Steam pushes most of the year for $24

fronzelneekburm: You know it's bad when a company has plants doing damage control for them on every conceivable gaming forum.

Going to assume you mixed up stores in there somewhere because this doesn't make a lot of sense on the surface xD

GOG did not pull any G2A games, they were revoked as keys from G2A are fraudulent. Plain and simple, G2A is a scammer/fraud site, and using will open you to lose your money. Simple as that (in fact anything to do with "keys" and "keysellers" is in my book at best shady). If you meant the second part that GOG sell things cheaper than Steam, your mistaken, if anything we pay a lot more here.

There's a Gordian Knot there and I don't have my scissors...
Blaming GOG is like blaming the police for taking back the stolen car you bought.

Reminds me of "Jackass Te Movie" when he says, "Well yeah, but that's just paperwork." :P

Breja: Well, it's not like he can deny anything we've said here, so that was the only thing he could clear up.
You know, any other company's (that at least tries to be taken seriously and have good public relations) representative would have at least addressed the main issue here, apologised for the user's bad experience, maybe promised to forward the information to a department that can take another look at it etc.. Just ignoring the big issue that makes their company look bad and actual wrongdoing towards a user while addressing some trivial issue like the location of the company's headquarters is just weird. That's something I would not even expect from EA.

G2A only thrives because of so many dumb consumers out there.

Let's say you were at an ATM one day that just started spitting 20's on the ground in front of you
You pocketed a few and left
Three days later how would you like the police to address this?
Send a couple instigators to politely knock on your door to tell you that losers aren't always weepers
when ATMs have cameras
or
Would you prefer a SWAT team to drop through your ceiling, unannounced while you were putting your kid to sleep,
and pound you to the ground?

I say as soon as the ATM starts spitting out the money you go IMMEDIATELY to the police, hand over what it spat out, and inform them of the clearly malfunctioning machine.

You don't pocket what obviously isn't yours.

vidsgame: There are also other site like G2A to keep away from. You ever stumble upon or hear of this site run the other way and avoid it: kinguin.
.
.
They've actually been very good to me

The problem with Kinguin is the same with trading in forums;
some people will take advantage and stock tons of a developers game just for re-selling
but Capitalism allows for that kind of crap which can be witnessed in many types of businesses

Bundle sites need to start limiting how many bundles one IP can buy
But then companies selling VPN services will override that lmit
Capitalism

Also, in favor of small devs i have noticed some small devs intentionally selling a few of their keys cheap through Kinguin in hopes to get a word of mouth.

This was the same 90's Hybrid tactics of dev's ripping their own games to pass around warez sites so that kids getting their grubby mitts on them would tell their friends at Jr. High the next day all about how great the game is

And if you think that's a big ha ha.......where did GOG find it's first series of software to chase up and promote?

That's right! The politically correct term for 'Pirates' is 'Software Preservation Society.'

Give it up, man. He doesn't get it. He doesn't want to get it. He doesn't give a fiddler's fart about where his cheap keys are coming from, as long as they're cheap. And there's always a justification for purchasing from shady grey-market resellers (because you know, cheap keys, and 'capitalism'). This has been pointed out to him time and again.

If you were an African male living in small southern American town and someone reported that you had a concealed firearm to some nearby police....how would you like those police to address this?

The prob is GOG just yanked the games. Steam usually at least leaves me a Dear Jon letter.
How do we know that five years from now GOG might start pulling titles because they feel they are anti-Christian or promote driving cars without wearing seat belts. What happens if you wake up to GOG one day to find 75% of your library missing and it takes three days of emails to find out the reason why was because you called Electronic Arts 'The Devil'?
