Note that the code to enable is not "ALT WIN", but pressing the Alt key and then typing "WIN".

Bear in mind, this cheat code was designed before keyboards had the "Windows key" so don't use that one.

On the main game screen showing the birds eye terrain view, hold down the ALT key, then type in the letters: "W" "I" "N" (then let go of ALT). You should see a new menu appear at the top of the screen, named "CHEAT" (see screenshot).

You can repeat the steps to remove the cheat menu too.

Works every time. It is very innocuous, as mentioned the little cheat menu appears in the top right, nothing more. Easy to miss. By the way, shame on you for cheating! That said, I like to use the cheat to see the map and then reload from the start. Dastardly, I know. I just cant stand dropping my first colony two spaces away from the ideal spot and I have no time for real scouting! Other than that, be careful with the cheats if you are intending to make play easier. Wiping out troops and tribes and such often has unintended consequences. Such as making another European country all powerful as they have more room to grow and much better cheats than you at higher difficulty.
