I reinstalled Age of Wonders 3 with the new updates and now I've the Elven Resurgence twice in the scenario list after installing the Elven Resurgence and The Dragon’s Throne DLC's but sadly not The Dragon’s Throne scenario.

Can this be fixed? I wanted to start playing The Dragon’s Throne scenario tonight and that just the one that's missing... figures :).

Ah, I see what the problem is now. If you look at The Dragon's Throne file in the downloader you see it points to the Elven Resurgence. So that's why it installed it twice, its the same dlc only in a different directory.

Can you put up the right file for The Dragon's Throne?

C:\Program Files (x86)\Age of Wonders III\Age of Wonders III\Content\Title\Maps

I deleted it there.
Now the game correctly detects the new version of the map installed under

D:\Program Files (x86)\Age of Wonders III\Age of Wonders III\Content\DLC1\Maps

Please fix the installer."

What I did
Age of Wonders III\Age of Wonders III\Content\Title\Maps

Dragon Throne.sam
and
Heartwood.sam

Are installed by the DLC installers in the above directory. I removed both those and now I get the DLC scenarios to show up.

Installed in the
\Age of Wonders III\Content\DLC0\Maps
And
\Age of Wonders III\Content\DLC1\Maps

I think those in the Age of Wonders III\Age of Wonders III\Content\Title\Maps are just the old way of doing things?

I can confirm. I had the same issue and fixed it with the reported solution.

To my understanding the problem that happens is this:

- old DLC is already installed in the main maps directory
- new DLC system creates separate folder for each piece of content
- the system conflicts with the maps being contained both in the dlc folders and the main folder thus resulting an unexpected behaviour.

Maybe the installer should see if the maps are already in the wrong folder and to remove them before placing them in the correct folder. Or something like that.

I have the same problem. I hope they release a fix soon. I'd rather not mess about with the files myself- it doesn't feel proper.

I (sadly) have to confirm this error and I had the Elven Resurgence scenario show up twice before fixing it. Now I have the Elven Resurgence and Dragon Throne scenarios showing up correctly (plus the two new scenarios from the Golden Realms DLC). What a mess. :(

edit: I also used the most recent installers for the game and the DLCs.

It's working now. You still have a minor bug though. When using the GOG downloader the Dragon's Throne installer will be put in the "age_of_wonders_3_deluxe_edition_elven_resurgence" folder along with the soundtrack. The Elven Resurgence installer will end up in "elven_resurgence". Has been like that since release.

edit: Oh and when I download the most recent AoW 3 installer with your downloader it'll say I'm downloading the Polish version. Doesn't matter if I have German or English set as my language. That's not a big issue since the installer has all languages, it's just strange.

It's annoying that there is a gog version numbering system separate to the game version numbering system, and having to update the DLC in addition to the main game, and do it all manually. Is galaxy going to do all this for us automatically in the future?
